I am not sure how they picked him or who even likes him. I don't think the majority of the GOP like him but we will see, they may pick up someone else.

The mainstream political media are (not so subtley) pushing his candidacy for 2016. And let's face it…the man wants to run.

The problem for Christie: The Repub *base* hates him – and any other Repub candidate, for that matter, who they consider to be an *establishment* (translation: "RINO") candidate. If Christie does run, it should be an interesting battle between him and whoever emerges as the choice of the Repub *base.*
