Elon Musk Slammed For ‘X’ Racist Rant
In case you didn’t know, Elon Musk has made it crystal clear to the world that he is a racist bigot.
Racism:
On paper, Elon Musk is many things. He’s a billionaire who’s considered the nation’s richest American. He’s the inventor of the Tesla electric car and the SpaceX rocket. He’s the new owner of X (formerly known as Twitter) and responsible for nearly driving the once-thriving social network into the ground. He’s a MAGA sycophant and a huge supporter of Donald Trump. Now, he has added “racist bigot” to his renowned resume.
The tech billionaire put his racist rhetoric on full display last week after a window panel blew out of a Boeing 737 9 Max aircraft in midair because of loose bolts. Acting very Trump-like, Musk felt compelled to give his unsolicited opinion about what happened — so, he blamed airlines for their diversity programs and for hiring minority employees who he believes are inferior to whites.
“It will take an airplane crashing and killing hundreds of people for them to change this crazy policy of DIE,” Musk wrote, purposely misspelling the acronym for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
This came after Musk promoted the idea that IQ scores of United Airlines pilots who attended historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are lower than the average IQ of “other” [read: White] pilots.
“Do you want to fly in an airplane where they prioritized DEI hiring over your safety? That is actually happening,” he said in a post that got 14 million views within just a few hours.
The backlash to Elon Musk was almost immediate.
NAACP President Derrick Johnson denounced the comments and attacked Musk for harboring hate speech.
“Reminder to @elonmusk: providing a home for the proliferation of hate speech and white supremacist conspiracy theories kills people,” he said. “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion cultivates a more inclusive society. They are not the same. We are not the same.”
National Urban League leader Marc Morial called the remarks “abhorrent and pathetic” and noted that Musk’s Tesla company has been sued over allegations of racial harassment in the workplace.
“Musk’s company not only refused to investigate complaints or take any steps to end the abuse, it viciously retaliated against employees who complained or opposed the abuse,” Morial said while citing allegations from the suit.
“The only thing anyone needs to hear from Musk about diversity in the workplace is an apology,” he added.
Glendon Fraser is a pilot with 38 years of commercial airline experience and is the board president of the Lee A. Archer Jr. Red Tail Youth Flying Program, which is a pilot academy that looks for candidates of color who don’t have the resources to attend expensive flight schools. According to him, Musk has his facts wrong since the hiring standards of airlines are higher now than in the 1970s and 1980s.
“Talent is talent, and pilots who are being hired are of the highest quality,” he said. “I could not identify a pilot who was hired ‘as a result of DEI initiatives.’”
The late Maya Angelou, the noted poet, author, and civil activist once said: “When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.”
Elon Musk has shown the world who he truly is. Any questions?
OK WASSUP! discusses Racism:
Elon Musk blames minorities for airline incident.
This is not a surprise. He is Maga so I already suspected him to be racist too.
