BD I don’t have kids but I was blessed to have 4 nieces and 2 nephews. They are all young adults now and I have a close relationship with each of them. At one point in time all but one of them used Facebook. However, given all that’s been revealed about Facebook in recent years, AND all that we’re still learning about Facebook “behind the scenes”..only one of them still uses it. My youngest nephew.

And he tells me he only uses it sparingly these days.

I have been using Facebook to keep up with family and vacations, all that. But this year I started not trusting them too and have stopped using it all that much. They have a lot of problems over there and now we see what is going on behind the scene.

“It will be a flash in the pan,” the Facebook official reportedly said while dismissing their connection to the Russian interference controversy. “Some legislators will get pissy. And then in a few weeks, they will move on to something else. Meanwhile, we are printing money in the basement, and we are fine.”

Sadly, the Facebook official is right. And WE, as a society and a democracy, will continue paying the price for it until some legislators have the Courage to smash it to pieces.

Regular readers know how I feel about Facebook. I’ve never trusted it. Zuckerberg’s milk-toast little boyish look Never fooled me. He is as rotten to the core as any man driven by “love of money over people.” And Facebook and ALL things related to it are, in my opinion, a Scourge upon this nation, if not, the world.
