This could be the smoking gun everyone has been waiting for. Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has struck a deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller to tell all he knows about Donald Trump and collusion with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. In fact, on Friday, Flynn pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of making false statements to the FBI about his communications with Russia. Normally, such a crime would carry enormous consequences. However, Mueller has effectively engaged a “domino” strategy — get one very powerful “domino” then use it to knock all the others down.
This is huge! Make no bones about it, Flynn is a VERY BIG fish in a VERY BIG pond. He has now admitted that he was, in fact, in contact with Russia during the 2016 campaign AND that his communication was at the direction of the Trump campaign. He also admitted that his discussions with Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador, were part of a coordinated effort by Trump aides to create foreign policy before they were in power to do so.
Prosecutors say Flynn was directed by a “very senior member” of the Trump team to have the discussions and they have strong reasons to believe that unnamed aide was Trump son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner.
Donald Trump has consistently denied any discussions, involvement, or collusion with Russia. However, now that Mueller has Flynn’s full cooperation, the former top Trump man is likely providing all sorts of details, proof, and other tiny tidbits that completely contradict Trump’s claims.
If there was ever a time for Donald Trump to stop shouting about “Fake News” and for Democrats to start uttering the word “impeachment,” that time appears to be now.

For Mueller, the family angle has paid off in spades. He went after Michael Flynn, Jr., who was connected to an extradition scheme, in order to get Sr. to talk. Now, Flynn is telling all and seemingly implicating Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. The thought is that once Mueller closes in on Ivanka’s husband, Kushner may, in turn, give up the goods on daddy-in-law, thereby forcing Trump to come clean and fold so as to protect the remaining members of his family. Needless to say, Mueller’s strategic and methodical approach has Trump and his West Wing buddies shaking in their boots.
“I recognize that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right,” Flynn said in a statement. “My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the special counsel’s office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country. I accept full responsibility for my actions.”
So, there you have it. After months of total radio silence, Robert Mueller has exploded with guns blazing and a potential smoking gun that could bring the entire Trump White House crumbling down.
Could this time truly be the absolute beginning of the end for Donald Trump?

At the very least it’s a “bullet” in the chamber of that “smoking gun.” Time will certainly tell if it’s more significant than that.
Just judging the way the idiot-in-chief is tweeting even more fast and furious than usual (AND his tweets are even more nonsensical than usual) I’d say he’s on the verge of a complete meltdown, as Mueller appears to be really getting closer and closer to the Truth.
