Foreign Policy Is Trump’s Nemesis
Surprise, surprise — Donald Trump knows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about foreign policy. In fact, whenever the subject is brought up…he quickly changes the subject.

Such was the case this past Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” when moderator Chuck Todd and contributor Andrea Mitchell were completely flabbergasted by an interview Trump gave to the Washington Post last week.
During the broadcast, Todd played a portion of the interview in which Trump was asked about using nukes against ISIS. When the Washington Post asked the GOP frontrunner if he actually intended to use nuclear weapons against a terrorist group, Trump immediately changed the subject, saying “This is a very good-looking group of people here. Could I just go around so I know who the hell I’m talking to?”
WASHINGTON POST INTERVIEW:
RYAN: You mentioned a few minutes earlier here that you would knock ISIS. You’ve mentioned it many times. You’ve also mentioned the risk of putting American troop in a danger area. If you could substantially reduce the risk of harm to ground troops, would you use a battlefield nuclear weapon to take out ISIS?
TRUMP: I don’t want to use, I don’t want to start the process of nuclear. Remember the one thing that everybody has said, I’m a counterpuncher. Rubio hit me. Bush hit me. When I said low energy, he’s a low-energy individual, he hit me first. I spent, by the way he spent 18 million dollars’ worth of negative ads on me. That’s putting…
RYAN: This is about ISIS. You would not use a tactical nuclear weapon against ISIS?
TRUMP: I’ll tell you one thing, this is a very good-looking group of people here. Could I just go around so I know who the hell I’m talking to?
Interestingly, the newspaper bowed to his whims and allowed the subject to be changed. They never went back to seek clarity or a definitive answer.

“He is completely uneducated about any part of the world,” Andrea Mitchell said. “He cannot stick to a subject, it is remarkable. And when he doesn’t know something, he just changes the subject, makes it all about himself.”
Mitchell also remembered how Trump once talked about canceling defense treaties, about being OK with certain nations having nuclear arms, as well as being all over the place on Iran in another rambling interview. However, each time, he was quick to change the subject once the questions got too difficult for him.
Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic agreed that Trump’s lack of foreign policy knowledge is beyond frightening.
“I gleaned that he has no understanding of the post-war international order that was created by the United States, that he has no understanding of why we maintain alliances with such treaty partners as Japan and South Korea, Britain, NATO, and the importance of maintaining those stable relationships with other democracies, shows that he has no idea of nuclear doctrine,” Goldberg said. He added “It was really remarkable to imagine that someone who shows so little interest in understanding why the world is organized the way it is organized is this close to the presidency of the world’s only superpower.”
When it comes to running for President of the United States, this is all fun and games for Donald Trump. However IF (God forbid) he was actually able to become President of the United States, he has already proven that foreign policy is his nemesis.
Yes DJ. I saw this being discussed on MTP on Sunday. Pretty darn telling isn't it? Of course, it only confirms what some people (myself included) have long thought about Trump's presidential run. It's all a scam. He's playing a role and doesn't actually want to BE president. And by now, anyone with a modicum of intelligence who truly cares about Our country, knows that Trump is in no way, shape or form even remotely fit to be president. The problem for Trump – he let his massive ego get the best of him and now the little narcissist is trapped in his own scam. Meanwhile, close scrutiny of his so-called policy positions (or the stunning lack thereof) is just beginning. His followers don't give a d*mn that there is NO there…there. He's on their level. The Vietnam draft-dodger "sounds" tough. That's all that matters to them. However, I'm betting… Read more »
