Galaxies Beyond Our Own Are Discovered

- is everything we've learned about the beginning of life all wrong?

Spread The Love

Move over, Milky Way. Science has just discovered a ton of new galaxies that make you pale in comparison.

Science :
The James Webb Telescope has proven to be a marvel to modern science in its study of space and the universe. In fact, it’s the most powerful telescope ever invented (with a primary mirror that has 6 times the light-gathering power of the well-known Hubble Telescope). It has allowed scientists to look further into space than ever before — and to discover things they thought they’d never see.

Galaxies

Last July, the Webb Telescope shocked the space community after capturing images of a red dot. The following day, 5 more unidentified objects were discovered. Scientists have since determined that these 6 objects are not only massive galaxies but ones believed to be much older than the Milky Way Galaxy.

According to Popular Mechanics, there are perhaps 2 trillion galaxies within our universe. However, the discovery of more galaxies not only negates portions of the Big Bang theory and how life was formed, but it also comes with the possibility of life outside of not only our planet but our own galaxy.

“We’ve found something we never thought to ask the universe — and it happened way faster than I thought, but here we are,” said astronomer Joel Leja. “These objects are way more massive than anyone expected. We’ve discovered galaxies as mature as our own in what was previously understood to be the dawn of the universe,” he continued.

Perhaps the most interesting takeaway is that the discovery will now require scientists to edit cosmology models.

“I nearly spit out my coffee” after this latest discovery, said Ivo Labbé of the Nature Scientific Journal.

“Regardless, the amount of mass we discovered means that the known mass in stars at this period of our universe is up to 100 times greater than we had previously thought,” Leja added. “The revelation that massive galaxy formation began extremely early in the history of the universe upends what many of us had thought was settled science.”

“We looked into the very early universe for the first time and had no idea what we were going to find. It turns out we found something so unexpected it actually creates problems for science. It calls the whole picture of early galaxy formation into question,” he concluded.

This new find is proof positive that mankind has only scratched the surface in its discovery of the secrets of the universe and what’s beyond our own existence.

Wow! What an incredible discovery!

But I have to say, thanks to the wonderful conversation I had with my mother all those years ago, when I was younger and naive, she prepared me for just this possibility.

God is truly Amazing!

I think I am misunderstanding something. If they found more galaxies does that mean they think there is more chance for life in outer space? Or are they just saying the galaxies changes up what they thought they knew about how life gets formed?
