George Zimmerman Arrested…Yet Again!
Zimmerman reportedly threw a wine bottle at a woman who is now his former girlfriend during a heated argument. According to the unnamed woman, the dispute involved a painting that Zimmerman wanted back, as well as a failed attempt by him to take their relationship further. According to the police report, the woman “told Mr. Zimmerman that she did not intend to continue a relationship with him, so he allegedly got upset and caused this disturbance.” The woman also described Zimmerman as a psychopath, saying “she should have known better than to get involved with him.”
Zimmerman appeared Saturday morning before Judge John Galluzo, who decided to bar him from contacting the alleged victim or going into Volusia County. He was ordered to surrender any weapons to relatives or the police and to refrain from drinking.
The incident is just the latest legal run-in for Zimmerman and his 2nd arrest for alleged domestic violence against a girlfriend. However, it follows a pattern of trouble since he was acquitted in 2012 for killing Trayvon Martin.
Current Events
About 2 weeks after the verdict, Zimmerman was pulled over for speeding in northern Texas. Soon after, he was involved in a physical altercation with his father-in-law which ended in divorce from his wife. In November of 2013 he was taken into custody at his then-girlfriend’s home after allegedly pointing a gun at the woman during a heated fight. He was then arrested on aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of domestic violence battery and criminal mischief. In September of 2014, a man claimed that Zimmerman threatened him during a road rage incident. “I will … kill you,” Zimmerman allegedly said, adding “Do you know who I am?” He was not arrested and was not charged.
Attorney Don West tried to smooth matters over for his client by reminding the court and the public that Zimmerman doesn’t have a full-time job, implying he’s had struggles since the Martin acquittal. Nevertheless, if Zimmerman had been thrown in jail for murder the first time, none of these “struggles” or run-ins with the law would have ever materialized!
Absolutely. Sad.
