George Zimmerman is suing Trayvon Martin’s family for $100 million dollars!
Current Events
Yes, you read that correctly. George Zimmerman is SUING the Trayvon Martin family. The self-appointed neighborhood watch volunteer who stalked then-17-year-old Trayvon Martin in 2012 because he didn’t look like he “belonged” in that neighborhood (although he was visiting his dad at the time, who did live there) then killed him is now suing the family of his murder victim for an impossible amount of money.
According to the loathsome Zimmerman’s 36-page lawsuit, HE is “the victim” of malicious prosecution, abuse of process, civil conspiracy and defamation. Further, Zimmerman claims that there was no legitimate basis for his prosecution and that prosecutors conspired against him to fabricate witness testimony. He’s also claiming that a new book by Martin family attorney, Ben Crump, contains false claims about him.
Yes, Trayvon Martin is dead. However, somehow, it is Zimmerman who is the victim here. The man who was unfairly acquitted and allowed to go back to his sad and pathetic little life while the teenager he shot and killed lies in a 6-foot deep grave says HE’s been harmed.
“It is both disgusting and shameful that George Zimmerman, a man who killed an unarmed child and got away with it, is now suing Trayvon Martin’s grieving parents,” Pamela Goodman, president of Ruth’s List Florida, said on behalf of Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon Martin’s mother.
“This plaintiff continues to display a callous disregard for everyone by himself, revictimizing individuals whose lives were shattered by his own misguided actions,” attorney Ben Crump said in a statement issued on behalf of himself and the Martin family. “I have every confidence that this unfounded and reckless lawsuit will be revealed for what it is — another failed attempt to defend the indefensible and a shameless attempt to profit off the lives and grief of others.”
Since murdering Trayvon Martin in cold-blood and getting away with it, Zimmerman’s life has been a hot mess. He hasn’t been able to maintain a job or make money to sustain his pitiful and guilt-ridden life. So, as the old saying goes, even Stevie Wonder can see why George Zimmerman is suing the Trayvon Martin family: he’s badly in need of money and he’s badly in need of attention and recognition.
He doesn’t care that he’s reopening old wounds that cut the black community deep. He doesn’t care that he’s still considered guilty by most of America. He doesn’t care that he got away with murder and should disappear with that unfathomable stroke of luck. He’s simply willing to roll the dice one more time and hope against hope that somehow, the US justice system will bend his way one more time and hand him a $100 million dollar judgment — all for killing an unarmed African-American teen whose only crime was walking while black and carrying a bag of Skittles.
Indeed Zimmerman is a lost and “loathsome” creature who can Never escape the innocent blood he has on his hands. No matter how hard he tries, for him there will Never be peace. His guilt will cling to him all the way to his grave and beyond.
(sidenote) Perhaps he and O.J. should have a talk.
