George Zimmerman Signs Autographs At Florida Gun Show

The killer of Trayvon Martin has had numerous run-ins with the law. He got into a physical fight with his father-in-law. He was arrested for a domestic violence disturbance involving his current girlfriend. He was even the mastermind behind the wacky idea to “fight any black man” (his words) in a “Celebrity Boxing Match.” But instead of disappearing into oblivion after murdering an unarmed teen, Zimmerman spent last weekend signing autographs at an Orlando gun show for all his fans.Yet Zimmerman doesn’t understand why people don’t like him and actually hate him.
“I’m willing to talk to everyone and try and answer their concerns or questions, and (have) them realize there’s no need to be angry,” Zimmerman said last Saturday during his “celebrity” appearance for about 200 supporters.
However, George Zimmerman is not a celebrity. He is not a best selling author, a famed inventor, or a scientist who has discovered the cure for a deadly disease. His only claim to fame is that he pulled the trigger on a gun that killed unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, which created a national divide along the lines of race. That does NOT make him a media figure. That does NOT make him a “celebrity” to box black men for pay. That does NOT make him someone who should be signing autographs anywhere, for anyone! Everyone in the world knows this. At least everyone except George Zimmerman.
“I always stay cognizant of the fact that there are threats,” he said Saturday at the Arms Room in Orlando. “The concept of being able to pay them back (the gun store) for what they did for me and seeing my supporters face to face was something I just couldn’t pass up.”
“I walk around armed; I walk around with a bulletproof vest,” he added. “It’s not so much for my safety as it is so much for those around me.”

George Zimmerman killed an innocent African-American child. That killing stirred up a racial divide across the country that is still prevalent to this day. The murder prompted daily death threats against Zimmerman, that has caused him to constantly live on the run and sleep with one eye open. Yet instead of laying low and trying to patch his negative image, he has somehow convinced himself that it’s best for him to extend his 15 minutes of fame by appearing on TV or signing autographs as if he were some sort of celebrity. He is not.
George Zimmerman is a clueless ignoramus. He wonders publicly why no one likes him, yet he continues to do things that are unlikeable. With that sort of bold lack of intelligence and brazen disrespect, he may be wise to continue wearing that bulletproof vest wherever he goes!
You're right DJ this guy really doesn't get it. You killed somebody, you are not a celebrity. All he's doing is making it easier for somebody to take him out one day. If it happens I won't be sad.
