George Zimmerman’s Brother Spouts Racism
Racist remarks from the brother of Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman, has refocused the spotlight on the Zimmerman family in a way that could be detrimental to George Zimmerman’s case.
During a recent Twitter rant, Robert Zimmerman, Jr. combined a photograph of Trayvon Martin with one of 17-year-old De’Marquise Elkins, one of 2 teens charged with killing a baby in Georgia.
“A picture speaks a thousand words. Any questions?” Zimmerman tweeted, adding “Lib media shld ask if what these2 black teens did 2 a woman&baby is the reason ppl think blacks mightB risky.”
Later realizing the weight and risk of his actions, Zimmerman attempted to apologize for the tweets, saying they weren’t the “right thing to do.” Hmmm…
“I realize those were controversial and offensive and I did publicly apologize for them,” he said. “I’m a human being. I’m being upfront about what I did. I made a mistake … Unfortunately (it) may not have helped George.”
