There is absolutely no love lost between embattled South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford and his Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer. After revelations of Sanford’s marital infidelity and misuse of state funds to visit his mistress in Argentina, Bauer has given Sanford an ultimatum — resign or else!

Lt. Gov. Bauer wants Gov. Sanford gone yesterday. And he’s not alone in a state that feels embarrassed by Sanford after he abandoned his state over several days for a tryst with his lover. Bauer told Sanford in no uncertain terms to resign or else Bauer would run for Governor himself, a move Sanford and his cronies are against. But as reported HERE on OKWASSUP! Sanford respectfully declined Bauer’s request to quit. Discussing the matter publicly in his state recently, Bauer said “South Carolina has a black cloud over it. And we ought to take this issue up now and move forward and not take up the 2010 legislative session with it. South Carolina needs a governor full time, not running around trying to explain everything. Not to mention, it’s (Sanford’s scandal) going to be the best reality TV ever.”
