You’re reading my mind BD because that’s exactly what I’ve been thinking lately. Basically *WE* (Americans who truly love this country) must accept the fact that our country is being led by a corrupt and dangerous fool who is in the process of tearing it all down (our system of government, our status in the world…everything) …or most of it anyway. Btw- Trump knows he’s 2-legged human disaster but “the reality-show must go on.”

As you said, if *WE* are made to fill the pain hopefully *WE* will never let this happen again.

Here here Truth. All your points are spot on as usual. America is getting what it asked for and what it deserves. It is just too bad for all the people who actually tried to vote and make a difference will have to suffer because of those who did not. We made this mess and now we have to take our punishment. The sad things is, just based on my observations of WE The People, over the past 30-35 yrs, a lot of Americans have taken *hard fought for* Rights for granted. Americans born between 1985-1999, in particular -who are now adults seem to act in ways that indicate many of them have NO clue of (or appreciation for) exactly what was sacrificed to gain the *Rights* that we ALL enjoy today. That “entitled” attitude has caused many, if not most, Americans to forget America’s long and painful history and lose Our way.

Those *Rights* didn’t come easy. A lot or ordinary people made extraordinary sacrifices -which included having their very lives put on the line in the fight for Civil Rights/ Equal Rights, Women’s Rights (including Reproductive Rights), Voting Rights, Workers’ Rights, etc. People DIED -or should I say was KILLED by evil cowards who felt threatened by any sign of Change.

Make no mistake about it, ALL of those *Rights* and more are in serious jeopardy with Trump having the power to pick the next U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

And I keep coming back to this – at least 100 MILLION eligible voters chose to just blow off that election. One. Hundred. Million. American voters chose NOT to vote at all. Now Repubs at the state level have begun to quietly win their court battles to “purge” non-participating voters from the voter registration rolls altogether.
