Once upon a time, American presidents were held to an enormously high standard. In fact, many Americans frowned upon Ronald Reagan for removing his suit jacket while inside the Oval Office and critiqued Barack Obama for once choosing to wear a brown suit.
Well, apparently, that was then and this is now — since Donald Trump is hawking a pair of gold shoes (emblazoned with a “T” for Trump) for a cool $400 bucks. Still, it’s only 1 of dozens of “products” Trump has been peddling to the American public for decades. Or, in the words of USA Today, “Trump hocks $399 shoes to help pay the millions he owes [the State of New York] for fraud.”
