Golden State Warriors Are NBA Champs!

Earlier this week, LeBron James declared himself the “best player in the world.” However, that boastful moment of narcissism and ego wasn’t enough to prevent the Golden State Warriors from becoming the 2015 NBA Champions on LeBron’s home court.

Sports
After a stellar 67-win regular season, Golden State won the 2014-15 NBA title with a 105-97 victory in Cleveland.  It was an impressive win, utilizing the good old-fashioned standards of team basketball.

NBA MVP Stephen Curry finished with 25 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals, placing his teammates on his shoulders for the win.  However it was onetime reserve Andre Iguodala who stole the show, moving back into the starting lineup in Game 4 to save Golden State’s championship season.  As a reward, Iguodala was awarded the NBA Finals MVP, which was the first time in NBA history an MVP award was given to a player who didn’t start a single game during the regular season.

Golden State Warriors LeBron

LeBron James, who promised Cleveland a championship in his first year back home from the Miami Heat, finished with 32 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists. However he also had 6 turnovers, 8 missed three-pointers and several botched defensive rotations.  James also missed 20 of 33 shots in the loss, relying too heavily on perimeter shots versus driving into the paint.

Only a few days ago just prior to James’ “best player in the world” proclamation, the Cavaliers seemed to have all the momentum on their side.  Matthew Dellavdova, J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov were playing as if they were unbeatable. King James was also likely dreaming of the moment the city would coronate him King of Cleveland with an NBA championship in tow.  Unfortunately for him, it was just not meant to be.

LeBron’s return to Cleveland made the headlines at the start of the season.  However, it was Steph Curry and his beautiful wife and spunky daughter who eventually owned the headlines, making this the perfect storm for Steph and his family.

Congratulations Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.  You are the 2014-2015 NBA Champions!

First let me echo DJ – CONGRATS!!!..to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on winning the NBA Championship.

Well Done and Well Deserved.

Second: For lack of a better word, I've been a long-time fan (I really dislike that word) of both Lebron James and D. Wade.

However, particularly over the past year, I have been disappointed in Lebron's continued failure to know when to Go. Somewhere. Sit. Down. and Shut.Up.

Perhaps now he will do just that.

Again; CONGRATS!!!…to the Warriors.

Mr. BD

Fully agree Truth. LeBron is always shooting his mouth off making a fool of himself. Which is the reason a lot of people don't like him. Meanwhile Steph Curry is smooth and humble. LeBron is the best player in the world but he doesn't have to be the one saying it. Muhammad Ali called himself the greatest as a marketing thing and just being funny, but Lebron is being cocky. I guess he has all summer to go sit his greatest in the world ass down.
