Democrats will spend their time chasing votes they will never win. Republicans will turn their party into an angry and narrow redoubt with no hope of building a durable majority. The news media's incessant focus on the tea party is creating a badly distorted picture of what most Americans think and warping our policy debates. The New York Times and CBS News thus performed a public service last week by conducting a careful study of just who is in the tea party movement.Full story:http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/the-populism-the-privileged

Bush as their "leader", and nominated Him for "President" I knew then that "the Party" was over. The fact that Bush went on to be so-called "elected" in 2000 for the Highest most important position in the nation_AND. THE. WORLD._and then re-elected in 04_told me ALL I needed to know about the GOP’s future_and sadly, the UNinformed gullibility of most voting Americans at THAT time_smh.But I digress.Thank goodness, it appears now that most voting Americans have grown a brain and as a nation "WE're" moving on.As for the GOP: Even Palin is “smart” enough to recognize a great money-making “deal” when she sees it. She and other right-wing “entertainers” are raking in a ton of $$$ at the expense of a Party that long ago soul its "Soul" and integrity.Pitiful.
