GOV. BREWER’S BIZARRE MELTDOWN

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer will soon be up for reelection.  But critics, and even some of her supporters are wondering if she should soon be up for a competency exam.

Last week during her first televised debate with Democratic challenger and state Attorney General Terry Goddard, Gov. Brewer completely lost her train of thought during her opening statement and drew a complete blank in a most uncomfortable meltdown moment.  While trying to talk up her record in office, Brewer began her opening statement with difficulty by saying “I have… uh… done… so much.  And I just cannot believe that we have changed everything since I has become your governor in the last 600 days. We have done everything that we could possibly do.” Brewer was still lost as she continued to grasp for words. “We have… uh… did what was right for Arizona.” For several cringe-inducing seconds, she smiled and laughed as she struggled to come up with something to say — but couldn’t.  Finally, the only words she could think to utter was “I have really did the very best that anyone could do.”  Really?

It’s a politician’s worst nightmare: Drawing a complete blank in a high-profile debate.  But what made it worse is Brewer fumbled during what was her own prepared (and rehearsed) opening statement — while totally butchering the English language all at the same time.  Some attributed her stumble to a lack of political know-how and election inexperience, since she was never elected governor, but only rose to the position once former Gov. Janet Napolitano joined the Obama administration as Secretary of Homeland Security.  However, CNN contributor James Carville said Brewer’s on air screw-up was so disastrous, he wondered aloud if she was on some sort of medication.

But if that wasn’t enough, Brewer was later asked about several reported beheadings in the Arizona desert presumed to be illegal immigrants who had attempted to cross into the U.S.  Brewer stared blankly at the reporters who asked the question, then abruptly left without any response or acknowledgement of the question at all.  It was a rather bizarre meltdown that has some Arizona voters wondering:  should this woman really be our Governor?

In the last four months Jan Brewer has been caught lying, three times and counting. The comments made on June 16, 2010, and June 27, 2010, clearly indicates that the Brewer says that immigrants are beheading people in the United States desert. She first ran away from the question and the press when confronted with the question. She finally when to FOX/ FAKE News to recant her lie. When Brewer was confronted with the fact the two of her top Advisors (Paul Senseman, Chuck Coughlin) are lobbyist for “Private Prisons” giant CCA she first ran away from the question and the press. In an attempt to gain sympathy, she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (which ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955.
