Graham – Pelosi Survive Trump ‘Meltdown’
Once again, Donald Trump has gone off the rails. This time, it involves a double-whammy Graham-Pelosi attack that has left both Democrats and Republicans believing that it might be time to finally do something about ‘The Donald.’
Politics
The Graham-Pelosi attack began with a crack in the strangely-protective armor between Trump and former foe-turned-friend Sen. Lindsey Graham. More specifically, it occurred when Trump claimed that Kurdish fighters, who allied with the US and fought the bulk of the battle to defeat ISIS over the last half-decade, were “not angels” and that Syria “is of no concern to us.”
Apparently, that was enough to awaken Graham from his years of kissing Trump’s ass and prompt him to speak out against ‘The Donald’s’ disastrous foreign policy.
“He’s not listening to his advisers, he’s not,” Graham said of his GOP crony in the Oval Office. “He’s making the biggest mistake of his presidency by assuming the Kurds are better off today than they were yesterday. That is just unbelievable.”
Then, in a totally unexpected and sympathetic comparison of Trump to the wisdom of former President Barack Obama, Graham argued that if Mr. Obama were to have turned his back on the Kurds, Republicans would be carrying pitchforks and on full attack.
“I can imagine if Obama said that what Republicans would be saying now,” Graham said. “So I’m going to say it with Trump, that is just unfair (and) dangerous. And quite frankly, (it) is just horrible for us to abandon the Kurds. I would say that if Obama did it.”
Graham added that Trump “will have American blood on his hands if he abandons Kurds because ISIS will come back, and if any American is killed anywhere because of a resurgent ISIS, it will fall on the Trump administration.
Well, needless to say, ‘The Donald’ didn’t take too kindly to Graham’s verbal tongue lashing in public and he predictably fired back with venom.
“I think Lindsey should focus on Judiciary. He ought to find out about what happened with Comey, what happened with McCabe, Lisa, what happened with Peter Strzok, what happened with President Obama, what happened with Brennan,” Trump said while naming his favorite political punching bags. “That’s what Lindsey ought to focus on. That’s what the people of South Carolina want him to focus on.”
Part 2 of the Graham-Pelosi attack escalated on Wednesday during a private White House meeting where Democrats emerged saying Donald Trump had experienced “a meltdown.”
The meeting was supposed to be an opportunity for Trump to brief Democrats on the situation in Syria. However, prior to the meeting, both Democrats and Republicans overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan vote denouncing Trump’s decision to pull troops out of Syria and to sell the Kurds up the river.
Apparently, that vote set ‘The Donald’ off, because, according to Sen. Chuck Schumer, Trump angrily called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a “third-rate politician,” prompting Democrats to walk out of the meeting.
“He was insulting, particularly to the speaker. She kept her cool completely, but he called her a third-rate politician,” Schumer told reporters of the interaction. “This was not a dialogue, it was sort of a diatribe. A nasty diatribe, not focused on the facts.”
Speaker Pelosi added, “What we witnessed on the part of the President was a meltdown, sad to say.”
Is it possible that Donald Trump’s policy (or lack thereof) in Syria and his Graham-Pelosi attacks could be the catalyst that brings Democrats and Republicans together to finally oust ‘The Donald’ from The White House once and for all?

Is it Possible? Yep. But I believe…highly improbable. I’d posit it would take the majority of the American people rising up AGAINST Trump in such numbers and intensity (the likes of HUGE Civil protests rarely seen in America anymore) for the Repubs on Capitol Hill to truly abandon Trump.
Now mind you…I’d love to be proven wrong! But at this point, I’d have to see it to believe it.
