But I still watched it anyway like it's required. Too bad they can't split it up into category's so we don't have to sit through acts we don't want. Music industry is in trouble too. I hated how they didn't pay Teddy Pendegrass his proper tribute.

It really is sad_smh.  I will admit though: I was pleasantly suprised to hear that an artist with Real talent actually won the award for *Best New Artisit*…Esperanza Spalding…beating out the current pop flavor of the day, Justin Beiber.Btw: I don't watch the BET Music Awards for the same reason that I don't watch the Grammys. IMO, they reward too much crap.I think the mainstream music indusrty is today (and has been for quite some time) a sad state of affairs and I'm just thankful for the the internet and the *underground* music world. Whatever genre appeals to you, there is plenty of incredible music being created, and available, in the *underground.* They are Real artists making Real music!And I truly believe (and I'm certainly hoping) that someday in the not so distant future, underground music will overtake the maintstream music industry.
