The Donald Trump guilty verdict has prompted promises of revenge, civil war, and even death from members of the MAGA mentality.

Last week, Donald Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts in the Stormy Daniels hush-money trial in New York. A jury of 12 unanimously decided that Trump falsified business records to cover up payments he made to the former porn star in the hopes of buying her silence and preventing the affair from affecting his 2016 presidential campaign. Now, Judge Juan Merchan will decide Trump’s fate on July 11th in the sentencing phase and could choose probation, house arrest, or even jail.
However, just like MAGA didn’t accept that Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, they’re also refusing to accept that their king is guilty and broke the law.
According to Reuters, Trump/MAGA minions have gone absolutely berserk over the guilty verdict and are flooding conservative social media sites with promises of riots, revolution, and violent retribution.
“Someone in NY with nothing to lose needs to take care of [Judge Juan] Merchan,” wrote one commentator on Patriots.Win. “Hopefully he gets met with illegals with a machete.”
Time to start capping some leftys,” said another commentator on Gateway Pundit who suggested it’s necessary to shoot liberals solely because of their political affiliation. “This cannot be fixed by voting.”
“1,000,000 men (armed) need to go to Washington and hang everyone. That’s the only solution,” said a poster on Patriots.Win. “Trump should already know he has an army willing to fight and die for him if he says the words…I’ll take up arms if he asks,” said another.
Other posts specifically urged Trump supporters to target Democrats with their guns.
“AMERICA FULLY DESTROYED BY DEMOCRATS. LOCK AND LOAD,” wrote a commentator on Gateway Pundit.
Many within the MAGA crowd believe that Trump could be killed by the left — and that it’s now time to “kill or be killed.”
“You’ve got to understand that there are millions of Americans that don’t register their guns, me being one of them. And, I’m ready for everything that’s coming, because give me Trump or give me death,” Trump supporter Juliet Germanotta said.
“Pick a side, or YOU are next,” wrote conservative talk show host Dan Bongino on Trump’s Truth Social network.
“Dan, seriously now,” one user wrote in response to Bongino. “I see no way out of all this mess without bloodshed. When you can rig an election, then weaponize the government and the courts against a former President, what other alternative is there? I’m almost 70 and would rather die than live in tyranny.”
Donald Trump hasn’t helped to damper the threats of violence. Following the guilty verdict, he posted this “dog whistle” message on Truth Social:
“Their sick & twisted goal is simple: Pervert the justice system against me so much, that proud supporters like YOU will SPIT when you hear my name. BUT THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! NOW IT’S TIME FOR ME & YOU TO SHOVE IT BACK IN THEIR CORRUPT FACES!”
Yes, a years-long propaganda/misinformation campaign by Fox News and other conservative media outlets has convinced a large swath of America that Donald Trump is an innocent victim who President Biden and the Democrats have unfairly targeted. These same Americans have been consciously and subconsciously convinced that illegal immigrants, liberals, gays, and other “misfits” of society are about to destroy this beloved country — and that Donald Trump is the only savior who can return America to the white, Christian, heterosexual nation it once was and should always be.
With so many Americans hoodwinked by the “Us vs. Them” mantra of Donald Trump, the “We Were Cheated” cries from the 2020 election loss, and now the guilty verdict out of a Democratic stronghold such as New York, political observers are predicting out loud that it’s no longer a matter of if but when Trump/MAGA sycophants turn violent and spark a civil war for the soul of the nation.
Jacob Ware, co-author of the book God, Guns, and Sedition: Far-Right Terrorism in America and a research fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, said the violent language used by Trump’s followers is a testament to his “ironclad ability to mobilize more extreme supporters to action, both at the ballot box and through violence.”
“Until and unless he accepts the process, the extremist reaction to his legal troubles will be militant,” Ware added.
Bill Maher, host of HBO’s Real Time also weighed in.
“Well I think the basis of it is we started to hate each other,” Maher said while leveling criticism at both Democrats and Republicans. “When you hate people, you don’t listen to them. So it doesn’t matter how reasonable they might be. We have reached this place where each side thinks the other side is an existential threat. You hear that term from both sides all the time. That is just a terrible place to be.
“We find ourselves in this situation where both sides are literally siding with enemies of America rather than the opposition party within the country. You see Republican MAGA people with t-shirts that say, ‘I’d rather be with Russia than Democrats,’” the comedian added.
Maher then referred to his new book and discussed why he titled the final chapter “Civil War” — because he feels the threat of such a conflict is a very viable possibility.
“This is a terrible place to be, and it can happen here. The last chapter in the book is called ‘Civil War’ and you hear more about it all the time, people who are actually pining for it, civil war, ‘come on…let’s do this thing! Let’s get this going. Let’s have this national divorce.’
“The left has changed,” Maher argued. “Now, the right has changed also, and even worse. I mean the right doesn’t believe in democracy anymore. I mean, they’ve thrown their lot in with this sociopath named Donald Trump who only thinks elections count when we win.”
Maher concluded that he believes Donald Trump will stoke chaos regardless of whether he wins the 2024 presidential election or not. He also predicted that America is headed toward a dangerous moment in history.
“Donald Trump is not going to concede the election so what happens in January 2025 on the 20th when inauguration day rolls around and he didn’t win the election? He’s not just going to go away,” Maher said. “And if he wins and he’s the president on January 20, 2025, he’s never going to give that up.”
Guilty or not, Donald Trump can do no wrong in the eyes of many Americans. Sadly, this same lot is willing to grab their guns and “shoot liberals” just to save a two-bit con man from having to face the long arm of the law.
THIS is our new reality. THIS is the new and sad state of America in 2024. It’s time we wake up and recognize the road we’re on.

So let me just start with this…..
I was confident the jury would find him guilty on many, if not most, of the charges. And that it would probably take 3-4 days of deliberating before announcing their verdicts.
But this jury surprised even me by finding him “Guilty” on all 34 counts after 2 days of deliberating, which tells me the evidence was overwhelming and the Truth could not be denied!
