I had not heard about Cole Wist. But I have heard of at least one other Repub who is facing threats from the gun lobby.

Gun manufacturers are real “enemies of democracy” in our country.

They own the gun lobby and the gun lobby owns the politicians.

In reply to Mr.BD. "This makes no sense" It does IF you're an irrational and insecure White man, terrified of losing your "white privilege" place AND power in society. And you're convinced that "clinging" to your guns is the only way to hold onto that place and power. They see it as a "war" against their "enemy" (anyone who AIN'T them). Holding a military-style weapon in their hands is supposed to make them feel less afraid and more in control. But noting could be further from the truth. They are afraid and they hate that they are so afraid!

This story proves Repubs are scared of the NRA. One Repub tried to change things but got shot down so fast nobody else would try again. But my question is why are they protecting assault guns like the one killing these kids at school? They cannot say hunting because these type guns would tear a deer head off its body. There is no reason anybody needs a gun like this. But the minute somebody mentions it they are ready to fight. This makes no sense.
