Harris vs Trump Debate Was An ‘Ass Whooping’
The long-awaited and highly anticipated Harris vs Trump Debate is now in the record books. So, let’s discuss what we all saw.
Top News Today :
The evening began with Trump entering the stage and racing to his podium while refusing to shake his opponent’s hand. However, Kamala Harris was having none of it and classily walked over into his space to introduce herself.
“KAMALA Harris,” the vice president said to her visibly uncomfortable challenger who has regularly and purposefully mispronounced her name.
It was all downhill (for Trump) from there.
From the opening remarks, it was clear that Ms. Harris had prepared extensively for this debate, whereas Trump had done little to no homework in advance. She was powerfully prepared with responses to questions about the economy, foreign policy, health care, a woman’s right to choose, and more. By contrast, Donald Trump rambled often, regularly refused to answer specific questions, and ducked and dodged inquiries about his positions on abortion, Ukraine, his running mate, and other subjects that clearly made him uncomfortable.
However, it didn’t take long for Kamala Harris to find Trump’s kryptonite.
Time after time, she got under his skin and rattled him with ease. Time after time, Trump disappointed his handlers by taking the bait, falling into a trap, veering off subject, and then appearing deeply flustered. As the heat began to rise, Trump’s orange makeup gradually faded from beads of sweat and he donned a permanent scowl from the Kamala-lashing he apparently never saw coming.
On the subject of foreign policy, Ms. Harris called Trump a “disgrace” and boldly told him world leaders are “laughing at him.”
Also on the issue of foreign policy, she called Trump an easy target and suggested that offering him a bit of favor and flattery is all it takes for a global dictator to “eat you for lunch.”
On the issue of national defense, she listed specific names from the former Trump administration who have gone public with a warning that he should never be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office again.
On the issue of Jan. 6, 2021, she called Trump “weak,” then poked and prodded how sad it must be for him to have never been able to accept he was fired by 81 million voters.
“Clearly, he’s having a very difficult time processing that,” she said.
In response, Trump — who at one point turned beet red from seething anger — went rogue.
He refused to give a direct answer regarding his position on abortion. He claimed all the former administration officials who turned against him were somehow “bad people” he needed to fire. He blamed former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (and not himself) for the deadly Capitol Hill insurrection. He claimed the Biden-Harris administration has been conducting transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison. He even went on a strange rampage about illegal Haitian immigrants eating pet dogs and cats that he claims are mysteriously disappearing from America’s neighborhoods.
For her part, Kamala Harris simply looked on with pity and allowed him to continue to crash and burn.
According to a CNN instant poll, 63% to 37% of viewers overwhelmingly acknowledged Ms. Harris as the debate winner.
The CNN post-debate headline read: “Kamala Harris Ran Away With It.”
POLITICO said “Harris Won The Debate…And It Wasn’t Even Close.”
During a post-debate appearance on MSNBC, former RNC Chairman Michael Steele said Kamala Harris looked “presidential,” while Trump “looked small, beaten, and pissed off by a woman he clearly couldn’t control.”
On CNN, Republican strategist Scott Jennings hung his head in shame over Trump’s performance.
“It’s a little hard to complain about the refs when you’re not making your jump shots,” Jennings said while using a sports reference.
The evening ended with Donald Trump appearing like a petulant child and refusing to look at the vice president even once all evening. He then went to the media “Spin Room” to attempt to convince reporters that despite what they saw in real time, HE was the real winner of the evening.
It was both sad and pathetic.
The evening also ended with pop music star Taylor Swift offering a full-throated endorsement of Kamala Harris.
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift said in a post on Instagram to her more than 280 million followers. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
She signed her post “Childless Cat Lady.”
Let’s face facts. The Harris vs Trump Debate was an old-fashioned ass-whooping by Kamala Harris. More specifically, her beating of Donald Trump was so bad that had it been a boxing match, the refs would have stopped it.

The Harris vs Trump Debate examined.
New York Times: Political pundits, analysts and commentators noted that Mr. Trump had often found himself on the defensive on issues such as abortion while allowing himself to be baited by Ms. Harris and veering off message. The vice president belittled the attendance at Mr. Trump’s rallies and suggested that American military leaders view him as a “disgrace,” while Mr. Trump often responded angrily, declaring that she had no policies of her own and was the “worst vice president in the history of our country.” After the debate, many Democratic strategists and officials cheered Ms. Harris’s performance, while Republicans complained about the tenor of the questions from the moderators and acknowledged Mr. Trump’s missed opportunities to unleash focused attack lines. Here is a sampling of the reaction. “She was exquisitely well prepared, she laid traps, and he chased every rabbit down every hole instead of talking about the things that… Read more »
