Herschel J Walker Is The Odd Man Out!
Poor Herschel J Walker. He just can’t catch a break.
Politics :
Republican candidate for the US Senate from Georgia, Herschel J Walker, believed he had a shot at turning his storied NFL football career into a leading player inside the US Senate. On November 8th he got just close enough to force a run-off against Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock — and was looking forward to GOP heavy hitters from across the country racing to his rescue to lead him across the finish line in December.
And then, the Democrats ruined his pipe dream by winning control of the Senate via the Nevada contest, effectively making the need for Herschel Walker to win obsolete and unnecessary.
Now, reality has set in. Republicans no longer have a need for Herschel J Walker since his candidacy will no longer decide who controls the US Senate.
Perhaps that’s why Republicans are racing to drop Walker like a bad habit — and cheating him in the process.
To put it bluntly, Republicans don’t want the horrifically underqualified Black former football player anywhere near the Senate floor. They never did. They only needed him as a number that would have placed the GOP in the majority.
That’s why the entire GOP ad campaign behind Walker’s candidacy was built solely on the theory that a vote for Herschel J Walker would “turn the Senate red.”
The only problem now is that slogan didn’t age well and has since become irrelevant.
You see, Republicans can’t tell Georgians to vote for Walker because he’s a brilliant foreign policy wonk, or because he has a solution to rescue the national debt. After all, the man is as dumb as a box of rocks.
So, the truth is, there is NOTHING Republicans can now say or do in support of Walker that makes any sense for anyone to vote for him — and they know it — which is why Republicans have already begun backing away and planning near-zero support for his December 6th run-off election.
According to the Washington Examiner, top Republicans are acknowledging that creating a sense of purpose behind a Warnock vs. Walker runoff in Georgia would be a daunting and impossible task.
“We still would like to win Georgia, but we’re not going to win back the Senate as a result,” Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan conceded Sunday on CNN.
In fact, GOP Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri has already begun saying the quiet part out loud, admitting that if Walker had won, Republicans had no desire or plans to treat him as a “full member of the Senate.”
I don’t get the Senate GOP line on @HerschelWalker: Please, please win – but we won’t let you vote for leadership. Are you going to treat him like a full member of the Senate or not?

As if that wasn’t enough, Republicans recently found a way to fundraise for Walker while first skimming cash for themselves off the top.
According to NBC News, a GOP/Trump “Save America” campaign masked as a Walker fundraising effort was siphoning 90% off the top for Trump while giving only a measly 10% to Walker. The North Carolina Republican Party and campaign committees for newly elected GOP senators J.D. Vance in Ohio and Ted Budd in North Carolina were also skimming/scamming a 90/10 spilt for questionable campaigns they alleged were created for Walker but clearly were not.
“We need everyone focused on winning the Georgia Senate race, and deceptive fundraising tactics by teams that just won their races are siphoning money away from Georgia,” Walker campaign manager Scott Paradise said Monday. “The companies and consultants raising money off this need to cut it out.”
Yes, Republicans have not only been cheating Walker but have been preparing to treat him like a prop when it was beneficial for their party. Their plan harkened back to the “Three-Fifths” theory that viewed Black people as not being full humans.
Not only were they not going to let Walker play “reindeer games,” they weren’t going to let him have a voice, participate in committees, or even vote for leadership.
He would have been a puppet. The “token” Black to the GOP. A mere number.
Poor Herschel J Walker. He just can’t catch a break!
OK WASSUP! discusses Politics:
The GOP has stranded Herschel J Walker.
Great post DJ! You broke it down then summed it up quite accurately.
Walker is done. Except for maybe Kemp and Lindsey Graham, that fool is already in the rear-view mirror for Repubs with any real money and clout.
Kemp, being the top Repub in that state, may still Appear to back Herschel but I’ll bet his minutes out there “campaigning” for Herschel will suddenly be significantly reduced. He’ll spend as little time as possible out there “stomping” for Herschel.
Btw, Lindsey put on quite the little crying performance the other day in support of Herschel. We’ll see how much time Lindsey actually spends in GA campaigning for him now.
In short, ALL parties involved are Trash. Herschel deserves them and they deserve Herschel.
