Comes Out Of Hiding

Hillary Clinton may have gone missing following her surprise loss in the 2016 presidential election. However, on Tuesday, she returned to the spotlight with a vengeance and took aim at Donald Trump and his keystone cop-like antics.

Current Events
“There is no place I’d rather be than here with you … other than the White House,” Hillary Clinton joked while speaking at a diversity conference in San Francisco that was hosted by the Professional Business Women of California. “Obviously the outcome of the election wasn’t the one I hoped for, worked for, but I will never stop speaking out for common sense benefits that will allow moms and dads to stay on the job,” she added.

hillary clintonAside from a chance spotting by a hiker in the woods near her New York home or her appearance at the Trump inauguration alongside former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton has mostly laid low since the November election. However, all of that changed in her keynote address, as the former Democratic presidential nominee seized the opportunity to light into Donald Trump and his Grand Old Party.

She called the Republican attempt to replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) “a disastrous bill,” adding that Donald Trump was “met with a wave of resistance” that’s just getting started.

“People who had never been active in politics told their stories at town hall meetings.” Mrs. Clinton said. “They were people who had something to say and were determined to be heard.”

“Really? Take away maternity care? Who do these people talk to?”

Mrs. Clinton criticized the US for still not having a national paid family leave policy and challenged the private sector to do more to help.

“You’re the people who figured out how to fit computers in the palms of our hands,” she said. “You have the power.”

hillary clintonShe also discussed the diversity of women in the workplace and the need for the private sector to make better efforts to bring more women to the table.

“Advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls is the great unfinished business of the 21st century,” she said while noting that women’s representation in Washington is “the lowest it’s been in a generation.”

Still, despite her differences with Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton urged Americans not to grow tired or become discouraged.

“Where some see a dark vision of carnage, I see a light shining on creativity and opportunity,” she said, referencing the inaugural address.

However, her message was clear: “Resist, insist, persist, enlist.”

Mrs. Clinton encouraged the country to “resist actions that go against our values as Americans,” insist on “putting people first,” “persist” like Sen. Elizabeth Warren did when she was prevented from reading a letter written by Coretta Scott King about Sen. Jeff Sessions, and “enlist” others by running for office or opening a business.

“I’ll be right there with you every step of the way,” she added.

Could it be possible that we haven’t seen the last of Hillary Clinton?

I truly appreciate Hillary's full support of Pres. Obama during the general election and throughout his 8 yrs in office. But unfortunately, she and Bill learned absolutely NOTHING in the 8 yrs they had to clean up their act while Obama was president. Instead they worked hardest at enriching themselves at every…and I do mean EVERY…opportunity they had, beginning with their "speaking fees." SEE: " $153 million in Bill and Hillary Clinton speaking fees, documented" – CNN.com Added to that -their breathtaking arrogance and hubris was on display at any given moment, on any given day: SEE: Hillary's decision to totally IGNORE Pres. Obama's directive to NOT have a private server, which led to her emails being hacked by Russian Intelligence operatives and then leaked all over the place! in the middle of the presidential election campaign. SEE: Bill's decision to board the plane of U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch… Read more »

For once I gotta agree with you. Go away Hilary!

Truthiz1

Actually RWG, make that TWICE you've agreed with me…lol

You may recall that I am no fan of Black Lives Matter either.

Mary

We would be so lucky to have her as president. She would know how to do the job. The loose cannon liar we have now doesn't know the first thing about being president.

And what is the big deal about celebrities making money by speaking gigs. Nobody forced anyone to hire them,

Mother

If Hillary and Obama helps the poor, why is it a single woman or a man unemployed, no income, no dependences, and have to live from family members to family members can not receive any kids of assistance.

Mother

Should have been any kind of assisttance

My comment regarding Bill and Hillary using every opportunity to enrich themselves was regarding the fact that they made a lot of that money under the guise of the "Clinton Foundation" which apparently turned out to be a pretty lucrative hustle for them.

I have no problem with "celebrities" making money. And that's what Bill and Hillary should do. Go off somewhere and be "celebrities" and makes lots of money because clearly politics is no longer their "gig."

She ran for president twice. And she lost twice.

John G.

She ran the campaign as if it were 1996. And it obviously wasn't. She treated the voters like peasants. Which they obviously aren't. She had contempt for the new segment of younger voters, and was completely out of touch with anyone but large money donors.

The Clintons expected people/voters to be too afraid of Trump to pay attention to the fact that she had no platform.

Like the previous comments…perhaps the worst campaign I've seen since possibly Dukakis.

Manny

Anybody could defeat Hillary. If Sanders was running against President Trump the story would have a different ending. Now, for the good of our nation we need to support our president until the next election. We all will win. "Soldier for ever "

Beverly

How can you support someone who is a total idiot, he,s seriously has a mental condition he hasn't the slightest idea of what he's doing , the mans all for himself with no doubt is in many people's minds. Look at the people he's elected, they've no experience to take on the titles they've been given, better just pray for our country and that we don't end up in Worlsd war 3????

John

I accidentally clicked thumbs up instead of thumbs down for your post Manny. I completely disagree with you. I will never support that Oompa Loompa of a "so called" president the sooner he dies or gets impeached the better.

Barb Davis

Amen!!! Agree 100%

Robbie

Oompa Loompa ???? He does look like one!!! I agree as well. Willy Wonka needs to come get his rogue Oompa Loompa! Well I suppose it's Charlie Bucket now. Either way they need to come get him!!!

Truthiz1

Indeed, Trump is the president of the United States but he will NEVER be my president.

And the sooner that dangerous fool is out of office the better.
