Conservatives are having a hissy-fit over NBC’s planned mini-series on the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton. However, a new wrinkle in the story could be more entertaining than the actual mini-series itself.
Republicans are so fearful that Hillary Clinton could run for president (and win) in 2016, that they’re already pulling out every trick in the book to try to derail her — even before she’s even announced any intention of running. A new conservative Super PAC is raising funds to “Stop Hillary in 2016.” RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has threatened to prevent NBC from hosting any presidential debates should the mini-series go forward. Priebus and other conservatives fear that a television movie on the life of Clinton could provide an unstoppable boost to her potential presidential candidacy — and they don’t like it.
Now here’s the twist: the Hillary Clinton mini-series is expected to be co-produced by Fox Television!
As everyone with a brain knows, Fox News is in the back pocket of the Republican Party. In fact, some consider Fox News to be an actual wing of the Republican Party. So how ironic for the conservative Fox to have a hand in producing a movie on the liberal Clinton, which could actually increase her chances of winning the presidency when if she decides to run?
If Republicans are ready to boycott NBC for producing the movie, will they boycott Fox too for becoming a producing partner?
