HILLARY MOCKS DICK
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before Congress Wednesday to discuss President Obama’s anti-terrorism strategy, and made it clear the main goal of the administration is to prevent al-Qaida’s resurgence in Afghanistan and limit the progress of Islamic extremists in Pakistan. It was a very serious subject that demanded very serious discussion. But the real fun began in a memorable moment, when Republican Rep. Dana Rohrbacker asked Mrs. Clinton if she agreed with DICK CHENEY’S demand that torture program documents be declassified and released to the public. Mrs. Clinton’s ultimate response was she believes “we ought to get to the bottom of this entire matter” and that it “is in the best interest of our country” to do so. But her saavy political side came through early on when she took a pretty good pot-shot at Dick’s credibility, amid scattered laughter, saying “I don’t consider him to be a particularly reliable source of information.”
