Hillary’s Heated Testimony!
It’s been a long time coming, but yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton finally testified before the Senate Foreign Relations committee regarding the Benghazi attack that killed 4 Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.
In what may have been Clinton’s last official duty as Secretary of State, the testimony was high on intrigue and drama. Secretary Clinton’s voice cracked when she spoke emotionally about the safety of American diplomats on foreign soil. Sen. Rand Paul also stirred emotions by telling Clinton to her face that she should have been fired following the deaths.
But the highlight of the day came during a heated exchange with freshman GOP Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, who pressed Clinton on why the State Dept. initially blamed the attack on an anti-Islam YouTube video.
“With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans,” Clinton said angrily as Johnson continued to interrupt her. “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk last night who decided to kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator.”
