The mother of the young black model who was photographed for H&M wearing a “racist” hoodie reading, “Coolest monkey in the word,” has spoken out about the controversy.

Terry Mango, who claims she is the model’s mom and has posted several photos of the boy on Instagram, stated that she didn’t understand the outrage that consumed the internet on Monday (Jan. 8), and believed people were overreacting.

“Get over it,” she wrote in a widely circulated Facebook post when followers asked for her opinion on the photo and the ensuing backlash. “Stop crying wolf all the time,” she added, taking aim at those high-profile figures like LeBron James, Niecy Nash, Questlove, Diddy and more who condemned H&M for dressing the young black boy in the offending hoodie.

Amen Truth. Some of these companies start controversy just to put their name in the news. Now everybody is talking about H&M and they are getting free advertisement just like Trump did. I think they knew exactly what they were doing since nobody can be that stupid. Except for the mother who just made herself look stupid to the whole world. One of her friends or somebody should have pulled her coat tail and told her to shut up. Her son could have come out of this a star. Now people are backing away because of her. Totally ignorant.

And I thought to myself *How long must We (all of mankind) suffer such a deadly disease…Racism?!

I’ve always viewed Racism as a horrifying and chronic disease infecting the heart, mind and soul of ALL who carry the dreadful disease.

H&M can take their phony-azz apology and shove it! They knew d*mn well what they were doing when they signed-off on an ad featuring a little Black boy wearing a hoodie w/THOSE words on it. End of story.

And they deserved the swift backlash they’ve received.

As for the child’s mother: I consider her an even bigger threat to the child’s overall well-being. She’s his MOTHER for pete’s sake!!!…the ONE person in the world he should be able to depend on to PROTECT him from hurt, harm and danger. Instead, she’s just fine with selling out her child’s dignity for ‘the LOVE of money.” In my eyes she’s no better than a drug-addict willing to PIMP out her child for money or a hit.
