In an explanation to Oprah Winfrey last week, Wyclef said that although his organization could have been administered better, there has been no scandal or impropriety involving him or Yele Haiti whatsoever. He has not received any monies from the organization and has in fact donated $1 Mil. of his own money to the fund. And according to Wyclef, 100% of the monies raised go INSTANTLY to the people of Haiti. Further official checks of the Yele Haiti fund found nothing out of the ordinary, so it has therefore been ruled an authentic and viable charity. I personally made a donation to them and I am more than confident in utilizing the resources of OK WASSUP! in suggesting them to potential donors.
