Mccarthy and the Repubs cannot say it is only a Democrat committee now. The whole thing was done fair and they cannot stand it.

I did not get to see any of the hearing live but DJ laid it all out. Now we see why Repubs tried so hard to stop the hearing from happening because they did not want the truth to come out. What those officers went through on that day was hell. Repubs know the truth but they want to protect Trump and say it was just tourists and all that. Give me a break. I am glad Nancy Pelosi went through with it. Even if Repubs want to pretend that day never happened history will record it.

On a side (but related) note….

I actually hope that as the Jan. 6 hearings really unfold, WE (all of America) …in particular, White America…will finally be forced to recognize AND acknowledge the following obvious Truths:

1. The putrid, toxic AND destructive forces of Neo-Confederate “White supremacy” in America TODAY (because let’s face it, that’s all “Trumpism” is really about). And also……

2. A sizeable number of (mostly) White Americans are highly Open to authoritarianism and Fascism. And also Nazism. This AIN’T “new.”

I view Trump as a Mussolini wannabe type. An ignorant, cowardly-azz, FAKE mini-Mussolini. But a dangerous, narcissistic “leader” with Fascist delusions nonetheless.
