KAMALA HARRIS
After conducting a botched campaign run by her sister, Maya, and inexperienced manager Juan Rodriguez, Sen. Kamala Harris announced on Tuesday that she has run out of money/donations and is dropping out of the 2020 presidential race.
“My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue,” Harris said in a statement. “I’m not a billionaire. I can’t fund my own campaign. And as the campaign has gone on, it’s become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete.
“In good faith, I can’t tell you, my supporters and volunteers, that I have a path forward if I don’t believe I do,” she continued. “So, to you my supporters, it is with deep regret — but also with deep gratitude — that I am suspending my campaign today.”
It was recently revealed that her campaign has been in disarray for some time now.
“This is my third presidential campaign and I have never seen an organization treat its staff so poorly,” Kelly Mehlenbacher, the campaign’s state operations director wrote in a November letter, criticizing the leaders of the campaign for laying off staffers without notice. “With less than 90 days until Iowa, we still do not have a real plan to win,” she continued, adding that even though she thinks “Harris is the strongest candidate” for the general election, “I no longer have confidence in our campaign or its leadership.”
Within the last 48 hours, Harris joined former Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak and Montana Gov. Steve Bullock as ex-presidential candidates, paving a clearer path for frontrunners Joe Biden and rising candidate Pete Buttigieg.
Donald Trump took a final dig at the now-former candidate, tweeting “Too bad, Kamala. We’ll miss you.”
Not to be outdone, the California Senator tweeted back: “Don’t worry, Mr. President. I’ll see you at your trial!”
IMPEACHMENT
It’s all but a done deal that the Democratically-controlled US House of Representatives will vote to impeach Donald Trump and present Articles of Impeachment to the US Senate for his removal from office.
In a scathing House impeachment report released on Tuesday, Democrats presented a clear cut roadmap to impeachment that even an imbecile could understand.
“The impeachment inquiry into Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, uncovered a monthslong effort by President Trump to use the powers of his office to solicit foreign interference on his behalf in the 2020 election,” the House impeachment report began. It added that Trump’s “scheme subverted US foreign policy toward Ukraine and undermined our national security in favor of two politically motivated investigations that would help his presidential re-election campaign.”
The report also laid out what it calls an “unprecedented campaign of obstruction of this impeachment inquiry” by Donald Trump, in light of his move to prevent the release of documents from agencies including the State Department, the Department of Defense and the White House budget office and instructing potential witnesses not to cooperate.
“The damage to our system of checks and balances, and to the balance of power within our three branches of government, will be long-lasting and potentially irrevocable if the president’s ability to stonewall Congress goes unchecked,” the report concluded. “Any future president will feel empowered to resist an investigation into their own wrongdoing, malfeasance, or corruption, and the result will be a nation at far greater risk of all three.”
Ouch!
The House Intelligence Committee will present a quartet of constitutional law experts today as witnesses, including Noah Feldman, Pamela S. Karlan, Michael Gerhardt, and Jonathan Turley — professors, respectively, at Harvard, Stanford, North Carolina, and George Washington University law schools. These highly regarded legal scholars will speak to Trump’s blind approach toward the constitution, his blatant abuse of presidential powers, as well as his acts to boldly ignore the authority of the legislative branch of government.
Donald Trump and the Republicans threw a hissy fit and claimed that the proceedings were not open, so the Democrats opened it. Then, they threw a tantrum that they weren’t allowed to argue their case or question witnesses, so the Democrats allowed them the opportunity to do both. Now, Trump and his cronies have decided they will not testify, they will not question witnesses, they will not participate in any hearing, they will not turn over requested documents, and they will continue to prevent top aides from testifying and to block the proceedings at every turn.
Without facts, logic, or innocence on his side, Trump’s only line of defense is to continue to question the legitimacy of the process in the hopes that his GOP Senate cronies will save him in the 11th hour.
Can anyone spell G-U-I-L-T-Y??

Lol. I laugh to keep from crying because it’s just pitiful that in the year 2020 -and given that the opponent is Trump…TRUMP….the Democratic party can’t present NOT ONE viable candidate to defeat that creature! [Within the last 48 hours, Harris joined former Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak and Montana Gov. Steve Bullock as ex-presidential candidates…] -DJ Yep. All easily forgettable candidates. Honestly, I did NOT know that Sestak or Bullock were running until they dropped out. And as for Kamala? Well the pic above says it all (“I have no idea why I’m running?..and this is a lot harder than I thought.”). Her presidential campaign was a disorganized hot mess from the start. And her chance of winning the nomination was, IMO, always very slim-to-none. Hopefully Corey Booker and the other “not a snowballs chance in Haiti of winning” candidates will accept reality and drop out sooner rather than later.… Read more »
