These are the words of Jeff Owens, Pastor of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Martinsburg, West Virginia, who took to the pulpit and called on his flock to terrorize and murder gays and lesbians. HUH???????
As shocking as this sounds, it is in fact true. But before you allow your anger at such ignorance to get out of hand, please note that this sermon is from 15 years ago but is currently making the rounds once again on the Internet. Pastor Owens called upon his attorney’s to remove the sermon from YouTube, Vimeo, and other sites where it was being hosted and stirring up a sea of anger. Owens also created this recorded response to apologize for an old opinion he now calls “stupid and immature.”
