Ice Cube, 50 Cent Have Trump ‘Meltdown’
Rappers Ice Cube and 50 Cent may have come from humble beginnings, but their current affiliations and affections for Donald Trump have them both in hot water with the African-American community.

Rapper/actor/producer Ice Cube AKA O’Shea Jackson anointed himself a pseudo-spokesman for the Black community by creating what he has dubbed the “Contract with Black America.” The contract covers 13 areas of improvements needed within the Black community, including prison reform, police reform, and a guarantee for more Black opportunity and representation. Ice Cube demanded that the Republican and Democratic parties each sign the contract before earning the Black vote in November 2020.
“This Contract With Black America was designed to start the hard conversations. It was made to be perfected and debated. So please add comments and suggestions so we can create a better contract with America that will help create a better and more perfect Union,” a statement on Ice Cube’s website read.
According to Ice Cube, he presented his ‘contract’ to both the Trump and Biden campaigns. The Biden camp reportedly loved 85% of his proposals but wanted to table further discussions until after the election (so as to wait until after Biden was president and had the authority to implement such a plan). However, the Trump camp jumped eagerly on the plan and instantly attempted to merge it with their own so-called ‘Platinum Plan’ for Black America.
Soon thereafter, Katrina Pierson, a (Black) senior advisor to Donald Trump, took to Twitter with the exciting news that Ice Cube had joined forces with Trump to work on the Platinum Plan.
“Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan…Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate. Thank you for leading!” she tweeted.

Needless to say, it didn’t take long for the fire and brimstone of the Black community to melt Ice Cube on social media for being a “sellout” by working with the race-baiting and white supremacist-loving Donald Trump.
“I always told everybody that I was gonna meet with both sides. This is not a partisan issue,” Ice Cube said on Roland Martin Live. “We have to talk to people who have the power to make things happen,” he added while attempting to explain that he was endorsing NEITHER candidate but was merely trying to give his ‘contract’ some traction.
So, what’s wrong with this picture?
Regrettably, what Ice Cube failed to realize is that the Biden campaign was correct to table the discussion until Biden was elected president — and that the Trump campaign was merely using him as a Black pawn.
Donald Trump is so hungry for Black support that he’s willing to lie and say/do anything to get Black “names” to endorse him. That’s why the Trump camp was so swift to throw Ice Cube’s name out on social media as a “partner” in “fixing” the Black agenda.
With a mere 2 weeks to go until election day, the conniving Donald Trump has already been able to reap dividends off the use of Ice Cube’s name and presumed “endorsement” — yet Ice Cube has received ABSOLUTELY NOTHING tangible from Trump in return other than words that he’ll fix everything Cube asked for at some point later on down the road.
Or, in other words, the traditionally street-savvy Ice Cube from the hard streets of Compton got played by a 70-something-year-old White con man.

As for rapper/entrepreneur 50 Cent, he recently proved himself to be a lost cause.
On Monday, “Fitty-Cent” AKA Curtis James Jackson III formally endorsed Donald Trump for president, claiming Biden’s plan to raise taxes on those making more than $400,000 per year was ludicrous.
“WHAT THE F*CK! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT, F*CK NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway,” 50 wrote on social media. “I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f—ing mind.”
Yes, the rapper who once turned down Trump’s $500,000 offer to perform for his 2016 inauguration (saying, “All money’s not good money”) no longer cares if Donald Trump is a racist or supports white supremacists. He only cares about himself and the tax bill he would receive under a Biden administration — since he makes more than $400k per year.
“Amen!!!” and “Welcome to the Trump Train!” conservative political commentator Tomi Lahren wrote on his Instagram post.
Too bad 50 Cent temporarily forgot that he told a bankruptcy court back in 2015 that he was flat broke and unable to pay his creditors.
“I just remembered i’m bankrupt, so i’m looking for a gracious loan can anyone help a brother out. LOL #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi,” he later posted to Instagram.

Newsweek: 50 Cent apparently endorsed President Donald Trump and vowed to move away from New York City while sharing an analysis finding that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s tax plan could be costly for wealthy New Yorkers. The rapper and entrepreneur, also known as Curtis Jackson, made the remarks as he shared an image from the CNBC program Power Lunch to social media on Monday. The image included figures from a Tax Foundation analysis of Biden’s plan, finding that the top 1 percent of earners living in New York City could face a combined, federal, state and city statutory tax rate of 62 percent. The “In Da Club” rapper whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III took to social media Monday night to say: “Vote Trump” after sharing Biden’s proposed tax plan. The immediate backlash was inevitable as many people rushed to condemn Jackson for prioritizing his personal wealth even though, as he put… Read more »
