Impeachment Inquiry Launched Against Donald Trump
It’s the day many Americans have been salivating for. The US Congress has (finally) launched an Impeachment Inquiry against Donald J. Trump.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced the formal Impeachment Inquiry on Tuesday after Trump boldly admitted that he solicited the President of Ukraine to investigate former Vice-President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in what was considered a preemptive strike to prevent Biden (the current Democratic frontrunner and potential Trump political rival) from securing the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and possibly winning the presidency.
According to reports, Trump leveraged America’s national security by dangling a quarter of a million dollars in US military aid to Ukraine in order to pressure them into conducting his political and personal vendetta against Biden. Trump admitted it and, his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, also admitted it. Now, both men are bending over backward to change their stories and save Trump’s ass.
The fact that a sitting President of the United States would petition a foreign government to dig up dirt against an American citizen for his own political gain is extortion and bribery at best — and treasonous at its worst.
“The actions of the Trump presidency revealed the dishonorable fact of the president’s betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of integrity of our elections,” Speaker Pelosi said in remarks to the nation late Tuesday from the US Capitol. “Therefore, today, I’m announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official Impeachment Inquiry. I’m directing our 6 committees to proceed with their investigations under that umbrella of Impeachment Inquiry.”
She added: “The president must be held accountable. No one is above the law.”
“Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!” – Donald J. Trump
Trump’s impeachable offense with Ukraine was reported to federal authorities by an unidentified whistleblower inside the Trump administration. However, when the whistleblower believed that his/her formal complaint had been brushed under the rug and was getting no traction, he/she went to the press and made the charge public.
Existing law dictates that the Trump administration must release to Congress the whistleblower’s report as well as the transcript of the conversation with the Ukranian president. However, Donald Trump has thumbed his nose at the Democratically-controlled legislative branch of government and flatly refused (an act that could create an additional charge of obstruction).
Interestingly, Trump’s tune changed on Tuesday when he was threatened with impeachment. The whistleblower’s original report, as well as the Ukranian telephone transcript, are now scheduled to be released to Congress today. The contents of each will decide the fate of the Trump presidency.
For more than a year, the Pelosi-led Democratic Congress has been reluctant to launch impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump. Many believed it was a political trap Trump was baiting them into so that he could use impeachment as a partisan issue to rev up his base and get himself reelected. However, the Ukranian news from the Trump administration whistleblower, combined with Trump’s absolute refusal to follow the law and release the complaint to Congress, was the last straw.

“These new allegations are a threat to all we have sworn to protect. We must preserve the checks and balances envisioned by the Founders and restore the trust of the American people in our government. And that is what we intend to do.” https://t.co/kNf4EEIKHg

According to The Washington Post, it was then that 7 freshmen Democratic representatives with national security experience went to Speaker Pelosi and said: “Everything we do harks back to our oaths to defend the country. These new allegations are a threat to all we have sworn to protect.”
And so, the time had come — and the Impeachment Inquiry against Donald Trump was born.

[…]-DJ Hear! Hear! It was indeed Extortion and Bribery at best and d*mn sure Treasonous at worst. Everything this corrupt and dangerous fool says and does spells Traitor and clearly, he’s got NO shame about it (SEE his very public allegiance to Putin and Russia). He’s been begging for Pelosi and the Dems to impeach him….well NOW he’s got his wish. But somehow I think even Trump knows that things may NOT turn out as he expected. Will he be forced from office? No. The Repub-led Senate will never vote to impeach him. But a whole lot of isht is possibly about to be laid bare for ALL of America… Read more »
