INTERNET OBSESSION KILLS BABY
Online virtual gaming can provide hours of fun — that is until you allow it to engulf you and you lose touch with reality. Such is the case with a South Korean couple, who were arrested after their real life baby starved to death because they were too busy raising a virtual baby online.
The couple only fed their 3 month-old daughter once a day, since they were busy running back and forth to the local Internet cafe to raise a virtual child in the fantasy role-playing game PRIUS ONLINE.
The unidentified 41 year-old father and 25 year-old mother apologized in a statement to reporters: “I wish that she hadn’t got sick and that she will live well in heaven forever. And as the father, I am sorry,” he said.
