IS BACHMANN DUMBER THAN PALIN?

Spread The Love

Remember 4 years ago during the last presidential election, when Sarah Palin said some unbelievably dumb things?  Well, get ready for Sarah Palin Pt. 2.

No, Madam Palin has not yet announced her own candidacy.  I’m talking about her understudy: Michele Bachmann.

After a televised speech where she looked off to a non-existent camera to her right instead of directly into the camera in front of her, some thought Bachmann may have been a bit off her rocker. But a stronger than expected showing at the recent Republican debate had some rethinking their poor opinion of her. Except it seems that since then, Bachmann has been doing everything within her power to regain the “I say the dumbest things” title from Sarah Palin.

For example, during a recent interview in Iowa, Bachmann experimented with an odd off-the-cuff comparison of her campaign to the late actor John Wayne: “John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit I have, too,” Bachmann blurted, hoping to gain points with the locals.  But the problem with her remark is that the actor John Wayne is not from Iowa — John Wayne Gacy, who raped and murdered 33 young boys is. So, is her campaign really similar to the spirit of a child rapist and serial killer??

Next up, Bachmann attempted another freelance remark, by saying the founding fathers tried to end slavery in America, which is actually not true.  In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA, Stephanopoulos called Bachmann out for her gaffe, to which she replied: “Well if you look at one of our Founding Fathers, John Quincy Adams, that’s absolutely true. He was a very young boy when he was with his father serving essentially as his father’s secretary.  He tirelessly worked throughout his life to make sure that we did in fact one day eradicate slavery….”

Um… sorry Michele, but you’re wrong again. John Quincy Adams was a president; he was a Secretary of State; he was a member of Congress; but he was most certainly not one of the Founding Fathers.

So from the looks of things, it appears that Michele Bachmann is giving Sarah Palin a run for her money in the dumb department.  But with all the stupidity that has escaped Madam Palin’s mouth over the years, including her recent gem of a gaffe regarding Paul Revere, can anybody really beat an ODG (Original Dumb Gangsta) like Sarah Palin at her own game?
