Is Terror Group ISIS Planning a U.S. Attack?

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as “ISIS,” is becoming a powerful force inside Iraq, so much so that they were kicked out of al Qaeda in February for being “too radical.” Although their presence is threatening stability within the region, it is the words of a former ISIS prisoner regarding the U.S. that has caused concern.
At the end of his captivity in 2009, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi issued some rather chilling final words to his U.S. captors at a detention camp in Iraq. “He said, ‘I’ll see you guys in New York,’” U.S. army Col. Kenneth King recalled. Military experts and congressional leaders aren’t revealing their intelligence on the matter, but the remarks have certainly ramped up concern in just this past week.
“The seeds of 9/11s are being planted all over Iraq and Syria,” Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) said. “They want an Islamic caliphate that runs through Syria and Iraq…and they plan to drive us out of the Mideast by attacking us here at home.”

Graham’s concerns were echoed by Ret. Gen. Peter Chiarelli, who said that “all Americans should be concerned” by ISIS’ quick rise and success in Iraq, while House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said, “I guarantee you: this is a problem that we will have to face and we’re either going to face it in New York City or we’re going to face it here.”
“These are not monkey bar terrorists out in the desert somewhere planning some very low-level attack. These are sophisticated, command and controlled, seasoned combat veterans who understand the value of terrorism operations external to the region, meaning Europe and the United States. That is about as dangerous a recipe as you can put together,” Rogers added.
In our 13th year since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, should Americans be concerned about the hint of new threats? Or is this all an overreaction and a big bunch of nothing?
including a threat by the terrorist group ISIS regarding a
possible attack against New York.
In our 13th year since the terrorist attacks of 9/11, should Americans be concerned about the hint of new threats? Or is this all an overreaction and a big bunch of nothing? [….]
I don't think it's a big bunch of nothing.
But frankly, as an American, I can honestly say that I feel as a nation, We face an even bigger threat from those who call themselves "Americans."
And you need look no further for an answer as to WHY I feel this way than to our disastrous response to the 9/11 attacks.
The truth is, the majority of (mostly White and so-called "Conservative") Americans allowed themselves to be PLAYED by the Bush-Cheney administration as they carried out the delusional and corrupt bidding of the neoCons and the U.S. military industrial complex. Those dangerous morons were backed by an American puppet media and a mostly Uninformed American citizenry. And it has costs THIS country greatly, in blood, LIVES, and treasure.
To say nothing of what We did to the Iraqi people…smh. It still breaks my heart.
And pretend as many Americans might want to ….NOTHING can erase that indelible stain.
Yet, who is back on TV spewing their dangerous and thoroughly discredited bullsh*t, AGAIN?!…courtesy of the SAME American puppet news media?
Yep. The neoCONS. The SAME twisted-azz bunch that got us into this mess in the first place.
Which prompts me to ask – At long last America, have WE no shame!?!
Have WE learned absolutely NOTHING?!!!
Rachel Maddow on her show last night::
“Hey Sunday shows! Hey op-ed pages! Hey cable news! Hey everybody! We know you are tempted to keep booking these yahoos on these subjects, but if you keep turning to the people who were famously wrong about Iraq to ask them about to do about Iraq, you at least will be laughed at. And you will be embarrassed that you did this. And you will eventually have to apologize or at least explain yourself for why you thought Bill Kristol should be explaining what to do now. We can see what you’re doing, and it’s funny, but not in a good way.”

Kudos to Rachel!
I actually watched her show last night. To say the least, she was on point, time and time again.
I don't know if this is true or not but I think there is always a threat, and not just in New York. Lol and DJ did you really post a quote from a Fox News host?
Oh here we go with terrorist rumors. Great.
I couldn't agree with you more. Bush and especially Dick Cheny should of been Impeached from the get go. They should lose all their Gov. Privileges and there's many. This may have shown the world that we as a country found what they did was wrong. Think about it. Barrack should of cleaned house a serious disinfecting of the White house and bring all of those responsible up on charges. The Repub's and the Neo-cons need to be called out for what they are. Tyrants! They have a twisted world view. The only difference between them and ISIS is that they the neo-creeps send our family members to do the killing. So here we are stuck between to factions of lunatics that want to rule the world and were stuck in the middle. I feel for our Pres. The childish bullshit that he has to put up with on a daily basis must be crushing! He knows the U.S can't fix the mess of Cheny's twisted vision, but on the same hand he can maybe try and save some of the innocents from being butchered.
