Fort Worth, Texas City Councilman Joel Burns reached out to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender teens with an unexpected personal and poignant message at a recent City Council meeting.
In response to the numerous rash of teen suicides from those who were or were perceived to be gay, Burns admitted that he, too, was bullied as a kid for being gay, and wanted those kids who were having difficulty with their sexuality to know: “It Gets Better.” His video has gone viral on YouTube and has touched the hearts of many.
