Jamie Foxx Medical Mystery Plot Thickens
Singer, actor Jamie Foxx is in the midst of a medical mystery that has confused the media and fans alike.
Entertainment :
Jamie Foxx, best known for his 2005 Oscar-winning portrayal of Ray Charles in the film Ray, was rushed to an Atlanta hospital on April 12th after experiencing a severe “medical emergency” while filming a movie. Although his family initially announced that the entertainer was on the road to recovery, several baffling bits of information within recent days seemed to contradict that official family statement.
To date, Foxx remains in the hospital. Additionally, his family has remained tight-lipped regarding what caused him to be rushed to the hospital and remain there to this day. However, that’s only the beginning of the confusion.
On Tuesday, several close friends of Foxx took to social media and pleaded with fans to pray hard for him because he was in dire need.
Foxx’s BFF Charles “Charlie Mack” Alston, posted an emotional message on Instagram, imploring fans to lift the actor up in prayer.
“Good morning IG, I need you all to constantly keep our beloved brotha @iamjamiefoxx up whom we all [love] & care for dearly in our Hearts, Minds & Prayers!!!!” he wrote. “We need you back Bro. As I always state a true champion isn’t the one that wins, it’s the one that meets & overcomes adversity!! You’re [sic] test becomes your testimony!!”
He then reached out to a higher power to pull Foxx through his adversity.
“Oh Allah I come before you yet once again humbly asking please heal & restore our brotha @iamjamiefoxx stronger & better than before!!! I have absolutely no shame in asking pleading & begging for your merciful healing powers over our brotha now in your time not ours for [a] miracle.”
Next, actor Nick Cannon took to television to publicly pray for Jamie Foxx.
“Man, I’m praying. You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother,” Cannon said during an appearance on Entertainment Tonight.
Also on Tuesday, media outlets announced that Cannon will permanently replace Foxx as host of the television show Beat Shazam on FOX — an announcement which created speculation that Foxx was too ill to continue at any point.
The urgency behind the calls for immediate prayers prompted most news sites to believe that Foxx was likely near death and in need of a spiritual miracle.
However, on Tuesday evening, the Instagram account for Jamie Foxx posted a message that was said to have been posted directly by him.
“Appreciate all the love. Feeling blessed!” the message read.
However, some were quick to point out that the message could have been posted by Foxx’s family, his public relations team, or anyone other than him.
Should the general public believe the recent message and reports that Foxx is alert and on the mend? Or, are fans correct to assume that something doesn’t feel right here and that there’s likely more to this story than meets the eye?
OK WASSUP! discusses Entertainment News:
What’s going on with Jamie Foxx?
Up to now I really hadn’t paid that much attention to the story but my partner has. I knew he was ill and still hospitalized. But when she told me his people were asking for prayers, I realized he’s a lot sicker than was initially shared with the public.
