Americans from all sides of the political spectrum agree: the newly released January 6th documentary is chilling, gripping, and an absolute game changer.

Top News Today :
In case you’re unaware, CNN aired a January 6th documentary last Thursday by Alexandria Pelosi (the daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi) who miraculously captured never-before-seen video footage of the day Donald Trump and his MAGA fanatics nearly toppled democracy. The footage displayed how Trump administration officials and congressional leaders were forced to work around Donald Trump (who refused to do anything) in order to squash the riot that he incited.

“Everyone involved was working actively to stop the violence, to get federal law enforcement deployed to the scene to put down the violence and secure The Capitol complex,” Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat, said about the footage during Thursday’s Jan. 6 committee hearing. “All of them did what President Trump was not doing, what he simply refused to do.”

The January 6th documentary presented an inside view of the insurrection on Capitol Hill, including chaotic scenes of Democrats and Republicans working together and begging for help. It showed Trump’s MAGA gang marching toward The Capitol, breaking into the legislative seat of the US government, and desecrating the House of Representatives and Senate chambers. It also showed Speaker Pelosi escaping the building and being whisked to a secret military base in Washington, DC, where she, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and other top officials worked the phones and acted in the role of president in an attempt to halt the attack and secure The Capitol.

Although many congressional leaders were able to safely flee the building prior to the ensuing violence, Vice-President Mike Pence was stuck at The Capitol and unable to escape.

CNN: Never-before-seen footage, obtained exclusively by CNN, shows in vivid new detail how congressional leaders fled the US Capitol on January 6 and transformed a nearby military base into a command center, where they frantically coordinated with Vice President Mike Pence and Trump Cabinet members to quell the insurrection and finish certifying the 2020 election.  The January 6 select committee aired snippets of the footage at its public hearing on Thursday, but CNN has obtained roughly an hour of additional material that wasn’t presented by the panel. Congressional leaders contemplated, far more seriously than previously known, whether to reconvene the Electoral College proceedings at Fort McNair, the footage obtained by CNN reveals. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke with Pence about the “backup plan,” and officials tried to figure out how they’d transport hundreds of lawmakers to the Army base.  The extended raw footage shines a devastating light on then-President Donald… Read more »

This video was unreal and really hard to watch.

Mr.BD

I am going to agree with Wil that video is something else. We really did get close to losing it all.
