Jared Kushner And
The Russian Connection
When it comes to Donald Trump, it seems all roads continuously lead back to Russia. Just ask Jared Kushner.

Yes, the totally inexperienced White House advisor and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner is under fire for attempting to create a secret back-channel between the Trump camp and Russia — while he was a private citizen. His actions beg the question: What exactly did the Trump team wish to secretly discuss with Russia that required a clandestine back-channel?
According to a report from The Washington Post, Kushner allegedly suggested that the secret talks take place at Russian diplomatic facilities so as to remain outside the reach of US intelligence agencies.
Why???
Donald Trump was not yet president. Russia had also just been accused of hacking the 2016 presidential election in Trump’s favor. So, what was so important for Trump to discuss with the Kremlin that needed to be kept under the radar from US national security agencies??
That remains the million-dollar question.
While the Trump White House continues to rail from dogged questions concerning its bizarre relationship with Vladimir Putin and all things Russia, here is yet another fly in the ointment and a setback of their own doing.
Already on the defensive, Trump officials are arguing that Jared Kushner was merely hoping to ease relations with an adversary in an attempt to conduct constructive negotiations (which, if true, could have waited until after the inauguration and could have been handled by a Senate approved Secretary of State). They are also making a comparison to Richard Nixon, who after the election of 1968 authorized advisers to create a secret back channel to the Soviet Union before his inauguration in January 1969. However, we all know how the Nixon presidency turned out.
Interestingly, Jared Kushner neglected to reveal to Congress his secret talks with Russia. What’s even more interesting is that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and current Attorney General Jeff Sessions also “accidentally forgot” to inform Congress of their connections and conversations with Russia — which was a required question during their security clearance hearings. Hmmm…
So, is this all an innocent misunderstanding as Trump and his minions want America to believe? Or, is this new revelation regarding First Son-in-law Kushner just another piece of the puzzle to Trump’s sordid relationship with the Kremlin?

On Sunday, Sen. Lindsey Graham cast doubt on the innocence of Kushner’s actions.
“I don’t trust this story as far as I can throw it,” the South Carolina Republican said.
He wasn’t the only Republican to publicly come out against the family member of someone not yet president having secret talks with a foreign adversary.
“My view of it is, I just don’t like it,” Republican Sen. John McCain said. “I don’t think it’s standard procedure prior to the inauguration of a President of the United States by someone who is not in an appointed position.”
Jared Kushner holds an unconfirmed White House position. He has no prior diplomatic or political experience. He has never held public office and says he doesn’t ever intend to hold public office. He is also on record for saying his actions are done at the pleasure of the president.
So, why would Jared Kushner set up secret communication with Russia? Certainly, not for his own personal gain, but rather at the request of his father-in-law, Donald Trump.
If you smell a rat, you’re not alone. No matter what anyone says, all roads regarding Donald Trump continue to lead back to Russia. Just ask Michael Flynn, Jeff Sessions, Paul Manaforte, Carter Page, Rex Tillerson, and now Jared Kushner.

TAKE OUR POLL:
How sad is it?…that the prevailing thought in my head these days is that I am SO grateful the mental-midgets currently in the White House are so ignorant, so naive and so inept that they continually FAIL at nearly every sneaky-azz attempt to keep their foul, in not treasonous, deeds undercover. TAC Reader Is there any SERIOUS observer who doesn’t at least suspect that the whole point of the proposed back-channel was to create a space for negotiating loan terms, real estate deals, etc for the Kushner-Trump empire without the prying eyes of our intelligence community tracking any quid pro quo? […] Umm….No. In fact, it's now at the top of my list – with probable collusion being the secondary-related offense. Which brings me to this. Recently I've had a *change of mind" about the minions Trump views as "expandable." In my response to a previous related post, I alluded… Read more »
