I tried to get to this sooner……

Needless to say, I am happy to see that it is recognized as a Federal holiday.

Thank you Pres. Biden!

And I hope as more and more Americans (Black, White, Asian, Latino, Native American, whoever) truly learn about this historical American event that more and more Americans will come to truly appreciate the significance of it!

Now that said….

My question to Pres. Biden is this – why is it NOT a (mandated) National holiday that government institutions and agencies at ALL levels must recognize?!

Yes, ALL Federal agencies acrossc the coutry are closed today. And many State and County agencies across the country are closed too – but NOT All. Because for them it’s an Option. A choice. Not a mandate!

Hey Truth that is a good question. I cannot remember why they did it that way. But I do remember they did explain something about it at the time.

Mr.BD

Happy Juneteenth.
