I don't expect to agree 100% with ANY of the people I consider Highly qualified for a given job in our government; that's utter non-sense. On the whole, I think she's a good pick.Yes, extremists on both sides are unhappy with the choice, to say the least. But the Democratic Party is smart enough to NOT surrender the Party to the will of left-wing extremists. The Republicans? Not so smart. Extremists control that party and are already waging a weak attempt to knock her out the box. However, pending no "scandalous" revelation (she's rumored to be "gay" *YAWN*)_right-wingers will FAIL. End of story.

However, I will say this: My initial take on her is that she appears to be good solid choice. In the meantime, here's a summary of what generally matters most to me in making a U.S. Supreme Court choice: First: Whether he OR she is Black, White, Latino, Asian, Native American, WHATEVER / straight or gay or bisexual_hardly matters to me. I care more about being “fair and open-minded,” to use the President's words. Moreover, the person should demonstrate that He/She has the highest standards of integrity, is intelligent, articulate, SANE and NOT given over to ideological extremisms; is knowledgeable about the law, willing to do in-depth research, able to write decisions that are clear and cogent; is an active listener but also able and willing ask probing questions to get at the heart of the matter being presented before the Court; and able to make informed decisions that will stand up to close scrutiny and the “test of time.” Palin: "Go back to what our founders and our founding documents meant — they're quite clear — that we would create law based on the God of the bible and the Ten Commandments. “Yep. That’s EXACTLY what we need_smh (sigh!
