With the 2024 presidential election ending on Tuesday, it’s time to applaud the Kamala Harris Campaign for being one of the best-run operations in modern history.
Politics :
When President Joe Biden dropped out of the running in July, Democrats expected a potential in-party fight for the nomination among a number of high-profile party stars. However, a smartly timed endorsement of Vice President Harris from Mr. Biden instantly thrust her into the forefront and sealed her fate as the candidate with the best chance to become the Democratic nominee.
Within a matter of a few days, Ms. Harris convinced party stalwarts that she was up to the task of taking on Donald Trump and becoming the Democratic nominee. She prompted the party to coalesce around her as other presidential hopefuls faded into the sunset. During the first 24 hours of her candidacy, the Kamala Harris Campaign raised a whopping $81 million. Then, by the end of July, she raised an astounding $310 million. By comparison, Donald Trump came in embarrassingly less by raising only $137 million for the same period.
The Kamala Harris Campaign was off to the races.
Next, 90,000 Women For Kamala participated in a Zoom meeting (only hours after she announced she was running) to offer their support for her candidacy and to raise $1.5 million. So as to not be outdone, 45,000 Black men staged their own telephone conference call for the new Kamala Harris Campaign, raising $1.3 million in the process. By Thursday of that same week, a group calling themselves “White Women: Answer The Call! Show up for Kamala Harris,” broke Zoom with 164,000 women participating.
The huge growth of enthusiasm prompted the launch of more than 3 dozen other support groups, including “White Dudes For Harris,” “Boricuas Con Kamala Harris,” and multiple others.
The support for Kamala Harris was nearly unprecedented and the levels of enthusiasm had not been seen since the Obama Campaign of 2007. This level of support convinced Democrats that Kamala Harris was the best candidate to succeed Joe Biden.
Political operative Julie Chávez Rodriguez was chosen to run the Kamala Harris Campaign as its manager. However, the operation began growing so rapidly that prominent Democratic strategist David Plouffe — who was the mastermind behind the 2 Barack Obama wins — was brought in as a senior advisor.
It was a match made in heaven.
From that moment on, the campaign to elect the first female and first woman of color as President of the United States was running on all cylinders.
Kamala Harris repeatedly beat out the Trump Campaign in fundraising month after month. The Democratic National Convention reinvented the once-boring political convocation and turned it into a must-see dance party. Ms. Harris knocked Donald Trump out during a masterclass of a debate between the 2 candidates. Republicans from Dick and Liz Cheney to Trump’s former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley all flocked to endorse the Democratic vice president. Soon thereafter, Oprah, Beyonce’, Taylor Swift, and others all announced they, too, were voting for Kamala.
Last week, Ms. Harris culminated her historic campaign by presenting her closing argument at the Ellipse in front of The White House — which happens to be the same site where Donald Trump encouraged his MAGA mob to attack the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Her crowd size was estimated at 75,000, which dwarfed Trump’s 53,000-person “Stop The Steal” mob 4 years earlier.
And, the hits just kept coming for Kamala.
Within 4 months before the November election, Kamala Harris designed, staged, and implemented one of the best political campaigns in history. On Tuesday (or sometime thereafter) we’ll see if her stellar work was enough to make her the 47th President of the United States.
Stay tuned…

An absolutely Outstanding accomplishment!
And I feel it in my bones and in my spirit (though I’m trying hard to contain it) she is going to win. And it won’t be close!
