Kanye Loves Trump Breaks The Internet

Spread The Love

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re aware of the latest celebrity crush in the world of politics: ‘Kanye Loves Trump.’  Is this true love?

Entertainment
Yes, rapper Kanye West has taken to social media to proclaim his undying love for “The Donald.” The genius hip-hop artist with questionable mental awareness (and dubious taste) basically broke the internet on Wednesday for broadcasting his bromance with Trump — perhaps the most hated man in Black America today.

Kanye Loves Trump “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” West tweeted earlier Wednesday. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

Following his Twitter lovefest, Kanye fans across America took to social media with a few announcements of their own: they’re throwing away Kanye merchandise, burning his music, and ending their fandom for him.

For the man who once said on live television “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” does Kanye West really love Donald Trump? Is his announcement some publicity stunt for attention or his upcoming album? Or, has the mentally unstable Kanye — you know, the one who stormed the stage of The VMA’s to steal the award and attention of Taylor Swift — reared his ugly head yet again?

You decide.

THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY!

First: Thank you DJ for being honest in posting the ENTIRE tweet unlike blog editors and writers who deliberately chose to post only the first sentence of Kanye’s tweet, in order to garner Outrage (or even support) from their own “side” -be it among Blacks (who are mostly anti-Trump or white right-wingers (who are mostly pro-Trump). “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him,” Full disclosure: Except for Kanye’s debut studio album (2004) titled “The College Dropout,” I’m not that familiar with his other works. Btw, I liked that album when it was released and I still like it today. But that’s about it. Also- all the publicity concerning his marriage to Kim Kardashian is, IMO, mostly about 2 narcissistic, attention-seeking drama queens (Kanye and Kim) always seeking what? ATTENTION. Both are in the business of selling what? His/her own “BRAND.” Both… Read more »

In DJ’s closing paragraph, he asked: For the man who once said on live television “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” does Kanye West really love Donald Trump? Is his announcement some publicity stunt for attention or his upcoming album? Or, has the mentally unstable Kanye — you know, the one who stormed the stage of The VMA’s to steal the award and attention of Taylor Swift — reared his ugly head yet again? […] My response to all 3 questions is Yes. Yes. and Yes. Yes. Kanye really “loves” Trump…perhaps not so much the man. But absolutely the way Trump constantly promotes his own “BRAND”, Yes Kanye’s tweet is cynical ploy to get attention for his upcoming album. And….. Yes. Given that I view Kanye as a flaming narcissist and full-on “disturbance-maker” (as my beloved grandmother would’ve called him) I’d say his mental ‘issues” have once again reared… Read more »

TheRoot Reader:
The fascination with Ye comes from his ability to measure the pulse of the audience and react accordingly. He is a chameleon that can morph into whatever he feels will propel him into public consciousness; thereby feeding his ego and bank account. He degrades what he cannot have or handle while praising it at the same time (remember The College Dropout).

Kanye West’s only real talent is marketing himself. […]

TheRoot Reader:
And to your point, you could replace “Kanye” with “Trump” in your above comment and it would be just as true. […]

TheRoot Reader:
Just like his buddy *45..two peas in a narcissistic pod. […]

Sidenote: Wow DJ…talking about Kanye prompted me to go back and check my music library. And I’m embarrassed to admit that I forgot about his 2005 album, “Late Registration.”

I remember being introduced to a few songs on that album via MTV’s “Life & Rhymes,” a *LIVE* music series- “where artists would come through and explain the stories behind their songs and how they were created.”

“Life & Rhymes Of Kanye West” was the LIVE show that prompted me to buy Kanye’s “Late Registration” album/cd. How could I have forgotten about that?! Shame on me…Lol

But that just shows how long it’s been since I’ve paid his music any real attention.
