There is no way Kavanaugh gets approved. There are just too many unanswered questions going on. And like I said last week if Repubs try to force this through they are going to look anti woman which is going to hurt them in the fall.

President Trump on Monday dismissed {new} sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh as “totally political” and pledged to support his Supreme Court nominee “all the way.”

Trump’s comments, made as he entered United Nations headquarters in New York, were his first since a report Sunday night on a second allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh, who Trump said is “a man with an unblemished past.”

“There’s a chance that this could be one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen for a candidate for anything,” Trump told reporters. “For people to come out of the woodwork from 36 years ago and 30 years ago and never mention it, all of a sudden it happens. In my opinion, it’s totally political.”

It’s clear there needs to be a thorough investigation of the allegations made by both women. But I highly doubt Trump will ever order an investigation because he does NOT care how many women come forward and speak out against Kavanaugh. He chose Kavanaugh for just One reason – Kavanaugh’s belief that a sitting president should NOT be indicted. That’s all Trump cares about. To say nothing of the fact that Trump himself is a serial sexual assaulter – no way these allegations are of concern to Trump.

However, Mitch and other Repub Senators understand that THIS situation (confirming Kavanaugh) just got a whole lot more complicated. Hard to see how Kavanaugh gets confirmed without a full investigation to clear his name.

Report: “2nd woman accuses Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct”

A former Yale University classmate of Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, alleges that he sexually assaulted her 35 years ago at a party, according to The New Yorker.

Deborah Ramirez, 53, told The New Yorker Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a dorm room party and “thrust his penis in her face,” causing her to “touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.” Ramirez said both she and Kavanaugh, then 18, had been drinking.

Kavanaugh flatly denied the alleged incident in a statement. [….] – ABC News

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said Tuesday he feels “terribly” for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and blamed “obstructionist” Democrats for using allegations of sexual assault to delay his confirmation.

“This is not a man who deserves this,” Trump said of his nominee during a press conference.

Trump said he has not spoken with Kavanaugh about Christine Blasey Ford’s accusation that he sexually assaulted her at a high school party in 1982.Trump had said he thought it was a “good idea not to” talk to the judge about the matter.

“Hopefully the woman will come forward, state her case. He will state his case, before representatives of the United States Senate, and then they will vote.”

Trump, who made the remarks during a joint press conference with Poland’s President Andrzej Duda, reaffirmed his confidence in Kavanaugh and said he does not think an FBI investigation of allegations against him is necessary.

Kavanaugh and Ford are expected to testify before a high-stakes Senate hearing scheduled for Monday.

“We are looking to get this done as quickly as possible,” Trump told reporters earlier in the day. “It’s a process. We all feel, speaking for all of the Republicans, we want to give everybody a chance to say what they have to say.”

He added: “Judge Kavanaugh is anxious” to tell his side of the story.

As for a pre-hearing investigation, Trump said: “I don’t think the FBI should be involved because they don’t want to be involved.”

All 10 Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee urged FBI Director Chris Wray and White House Counsel Don McGahn on Tuesday to reopen Kavanaugh’s background investigation and provide a complete report before the hearing.
