I feel that THIS (the President…a Black man of high intellect, exemplar temperament and a genuine Class act…not only having survived every hateful thing the Repubs have thrown at him but he continues to accomplish many of his goals and "Historical Firsts) is what's really eating the rabid right-wing Repub base alive.

They hate this President because he failed to live down to their racist stereotypes and expectations and THAT has seriously mucked with their world view of Blacks, in general.

He achieved and excelled despite their relentless efforts to politically destroy him and delegitimize his Presidency..

Cosign Truth. Obama is enjoying his last few laps as president. I love he went to Africa and just let loose and danced. He's doing things his way and not trying to make friends or compromise or nothing anymore. This should be a good year and a half for him.

I caught a bit of his visit in real time while it was happening and I agree with DJ, it was very moving.

Also, unless I'm mistaken(?) …he's making a historical vist to Ethiopia as well. today.

What I find so uplifting about the President these days is that he obviously has no plans to just tread water until the end of his Presidency. Nope. He's feeling *it* now…the wind at his back….and finally being FREE to truly continue working in meaningful ways to get stuff done that he feels will be good for Our country in the long, and short, run.

As the end of his Presidency slowly draws closer one thing is clear, he has NO intentions of being a "lame duck" President.
