Kid Calls 911 Over Bedtime
A Massachusetts boy didn’t like it when his mother told him to go to bed — so he called the cops!
Dan Davis, 10, thought school vacation meant he could stay up later than his usual bedtime, but his mom had other ideas. Furious that he couldn’t get his way, he threatened to call the police on his mom who dared him to go through with it.
The boy dialed 911 shortly after 8 pm, but suddenly got scared and changed his mind once the dispatcher actually answered, so he hung up. Believing someone could be in danger, the Brockton Police Department followed their usual protocol and returned the phone call. Shamayne Rosario, Davis’ mother, explained the situation then called her son’s bluff by handing him the phone for his chance to speak.
“Dan, would you like to talk to the police?” Rosario was heard saying on the return call, “because you can’t be calling 911 when there is no emergency.”
Needless to say, this misuse of 911 should leave young Dan unable to sit comfortably for the next few days!

That sure would be the case if he was my kid :)!
