Donald Trump has convinced himself that he is the omnipotent King of America — and so, it should come as a surprise to no one that ‘King Trump’ also believes his self-imposed supremacy means he can fiddle with the US Constitution. Um… NOPE!

Just in time for Halloween, ‘King Trump’ scared the bejeezus out of some uninformed Americans with the revelation that he is prepared to use a presidential executive order to end birthright citizenship. Or, in other words, Trump wants to end the right to US citizenship for any child of a non-citizen or unauthorized immigrant who is born on US soil.
“We’re the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits,” ‘King Trump’ said on Tuesday during in an interview on HBO. “It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. And it has to end,” he added.
However, there’s 1 slight problem with Trump’s perception of his executive privilege: any attempt by him to personally revise who is or isn’t a US citizen would be considered an absolute affront to the US Constitution, which was amended 150 years ago to include the words: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”

By Tuesday afternoon, various legal and civil rights organizations were laughing at ‘King Trump’ for his complete lack of understanding of his limitations, and for his total ignorance to the safeguards America’s forefathers put in place for this very sort of stunt.
Once such organization that was quick to squash Trump’s citizenship hopes and dreams was The American Civil Liberties Union.
“The president cannot erase the Constitution with an executive order, and the 14th Amendment’s citizenship guarantee is clear,” said Omar Jadwat, director of the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project. “This is a transparent and blatantly unconstitutional attempt to sow division and fan the flames of anti-immigrant hatred in the days ahead of the midterms.”
Nevertheless, drunk with power and oblivious to how the US government actually works, Trump remained adamant that he has the authority to make up whatever new laws he wants — even if it totally overrides the constitution and its creators.
“It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment. Guess what? You don’t,” Trump said while adding that he got the green light from his lawyers.
“You can definitely do it with an act of Congress. But now they’re saying I can do it just with an executive order.”
Although ‘King Trump’ didn’t provide any details (as usual) of his plan to abolish birthright citizenship, he assured those stupid enough to actually believe him that “it’s in the process. It’ll happen.”
Um… NO, ‘King Trump,’ it’s NOT in the process and no, despite your grandest of wishes, it will NEVER happen!
DJ you are right Trump does think he is king. From what I heard today even Repubs are telling him he is crazy. He really is trying to keep this a white country.
