Frankly, I still don't understand the visceral hatred of Lebron by many, if not most, of his crtics(?)

In 2010, he exercised his right to leave the Cavs AFTER 7 years of carrying that team on his back with NO end to the madness in sight. The only thing he did wrong, IMO, was executed the announcing of that decision very poorly. That's it. And for THAT he was crucified and called eveything but a child of God!?!

Fast-forward to today (2014)….

Again. He exercised his right to leave the Heat and truthfully, I expected it to happen…just not this soon. I thought perhaps in one more year.

My issue with Lebron is that his departure AT THIS TIME smacks of expedient opportunism disguised as care and concern for his hometwon community.

No. I cannot know what is truly in a man's heart. And I would never claim that.

However, as someone who has truly admired Lebron over the years…and as a woman who calls it like I see it no matter how much I may admire a person….his decision to leave the Heat and return to the Cavs AT THIS TIME appears to me to be a totally self-serving move.

And I'm also mindful that Lebron didn't become who he is on his own.

A lot of people are responsible for creating the "myth" affectionately known as "King James." And a lot of people seem to worship him now more than ever before. Very disturbing.

Btw: I've never liked that name…."King James." The implied message is a load of destructive ego-tripping bullsh*t.

But this time I have to say that I've looked at this entire thing and I think it stinks to high heaven.

I too believe he's "making this move because he wants to win more championships. He just wants the easiest path to get there — oh, and a few "perks" along the way."

Even more disturbing to me is that…no one man should be awarded the kind of unbridled Power (to say nothing of the highest Praise) Lebron is being granted by the NBA, the media AND his fans.

And I too have heard that neither his wife nor his mom wanted to go back to Cleveland to stay.

I think the NBA is a dysfunctional mess and heading down a very bad path.

I take no pleasure in saying any of this. Up to now I've always admired Lebron.

But right about now I'm thinking….Lebron, Gilbert AND Lebron's Cleveland fans (in particular) all deserve one another.
