LeBRON: ‘Pay For My Party”

Spread The Love

We all knew LeBron James was a bit cocky, a bit self-centered, and his own biggest fan.  But has the man who refers to himself as “King” gone mad?

LeBron James earns nearly $15 million dollars per year just in basketball salary, and an unknown amount of millions in endorsements.  But he wants investors to shell out $500,000 each to sponsor a series of lavish celebrations for his upcoming 26th birthday.  HUH???

“King” James has hired a marketing firm to find dummies backers willing to finance his December 30th party, themed the “Full Court Birthday Celebration.” SA Global Plus was hired to locate potential sponsors to invest from $10,000 for a single event on his 11-stop “LeBron James Dinner Party Tour” to $500,000 for a season package.

Next week’s kick-off A-list celebration will take place at the Coco De Ville Lounge in Miami Beach’s Gansevoort Hotel, and the investment presentation promises an unnamed list of stars including athletes, musicians and political figures who “reinvent and set the tone for a chic lifestyle.” According to SA Global, the celebrity bash “is royal themed fitting for a birthday celebration of a king, channeling an ambiance of extravagant court life.”

If any potential sponsor happens to miss the actual birthday bash next week, they will have additional opportunities to catch the self-appointed “King” at a variety of other celebrations, including New York this month, all the way through to the final “party” in Atlanta on April 10th.

Why the multi-millionaire James can’t finance his own birthday party like the rest of us is unclear. But what is clear is that his ego has not taken a hit since his move to the Miami Heat over the summer months.  Oh, and for those who can’t afford to help host a party for the “King,” perhaps some can get together and buy him a gift he seems to need desperately:  HUMBLE PIE!

I was, and still remain, an admirer, of Lebron's b-ball skills. I could watch him and D. Wade play ALL day.But as a person, James really does need to GROW UP, get over himself and cut out the crap!

I been in travel hell the past few days but this is what I come back to?? Lebron is such a little kid. I hope he grows up and keeps his friends as friends instead of letting them keep advising him.
